Hi everyone,

We have added the functionality to purchase ads on Freelancer.com. This will give you the option to reach a larger audience and gain more exposure for your products, offers and services. They are sold at a CPM rate and you are able to have your ad displayed in one of four different locations on the Freelancer.com website. Each location also has a different banner size which I have listed below.

You can purchase ads on:
- Browse jobs and contests page (781x76)
- Freelancers for hire page (468x60)
- Project view page (300x250)
- Dashboard page (300x250)

We show a preview of where your ad will be displayed on the page as well as a link to an example of the page on the live site.

We have four impression packages.

- 10,000 impressions for $120
- 50,000 impressions for $600
- 100,000 impressions for $1,200
- 300,000 impressions for $3,600

In order to purchase ads on Freelancer.com visit the "Add Banner" page and select the "Freelancer.com" at the top.

I'll take 300k impressions but want to know..... do you allow us too use a rotator to test banners against each other in real time?

I've got a few banners that I want to play "beat the control" with.

Also, how long does it take to burn through 300k impressions?

Thank you for your interest.

Right now we don't have an ability to automatically rotate different banners.
You can purchase three 100,000 impressions and upload different banners in order to compare. Alternatively you can purchase the 300,000 impressions and send an email to advertise@warriorforum.com with the different banners and how you would like to split them. I have someone managing this who will be able to help with your requests.

Ad rotation and testing is something we'll be looking into and seeing how we can build into our product.

In regards to how long it will take to get through 300,000 impressions, it depends on which location you select. I'm getting the data now and will be posting it here shortly.

- Freelancers for hire page (468x60) - 150,000 impressions/month
- Project view page (300x250) - 7.5million impressions/month
- Dashboard page (300x250) - 2.7million impressions/month

Do you have any further details about the traffic on Freelancer?

How about some of the following to help potential advertisers
make more informed decisions before paying:

Age or age groups
country location
Which categories are most browsed
Genders.. and I'm sure there's more
that could be included.

Additionally it would be nice to know
the level of traffic visiting the site for
the hire versus work sections.

Just paying for ads arbitrarily on a site
seems to go against the basic rules of
online advertising which also sort of goes against
what this forum is really all about doesn't it?

Wow, those prices are pretty high considering the platform isn't exactly one that will encourage a high click thru rate. Not exactly very competitive either, 10,000 impressions via adwords can cost under $20 with higher quality traffic, refined demographics, etc. 10k impressions on FB... well... that could easily cost under $10.

I think people would be doing good just to get a 0.1% CTR. The average visitor at freelancer is usually there on purpose, with goals and focus in mind.

Why not a PPC platform instead of impression based?

Alaister, are there limitations on color, images, etc on the ads? Previously there were some, I just want to see if that has changed.

We don't have specific guidelines for the ads however we do want to maintain the professionalism of the Freelancer.com site.
