How can I insert a viewable pdf to wordpress?

I made grid style review with some hyperlinks in it but every time I try to insert the pdf it just makes another link and won't show the pdf on the same page. I just want the pdf to show up on the page I am putting it on w/o having to click a link to view it. Any help please.

    Well, usually, it doesn't show up because PDF is not a web thing. (it's a Portable Document Format)

    It needs a special reader to be able to see it. Even if it's seemingly in the browser window - it still needs the add-on, extension, whatever... that makes the PDF file opening inside the browser. And, btw, it has nothing to do with WordPress...
