What Platform Should/Could I Use?

I have a new site that I am trying to get looking good and working as I can envision in my head. Currently it is a WP platform but I don't think that it will eventually do what I want it to do.

It can be seen at <a href="http://digitalworldphotos.com" target="_blank">Digital World Photos</a>.

What I would like it to do is show a thumbnail of many pictures on the page with descriptions that pop up when you mouse over them. Visitors can see the thumbnails but must register and sign in to see and use the full size images.

This site should also be in the form of a blog in that the descriptions on each of the photos would be the post. That way I could monetize it for Adsense.

Please check out the Terms and Conditions for how the site will be used by the visitors.

Anyone have any ideas? I am not opposed to trying out any different platform as long as I can do what I want it to do.

      any ideas? I have looked but can't seem to find one that would do the trick. Maybe it is a combination of plugins but I don't know.

      I will look again tomorrow morning and if anyone else comes up with some ideas, I would be appreciative and would explore all options.

      I need to get this site up soon.
