No 1 Serious competitors of Facebook?

Facebook is considered a giant in social media world but it is not the only standing there with complete control over online community there are present several other social media which can attract huge online traffic towards them due to having some features people do not find on facebook. So what do you think who is the number 1 competitor to this giant social media? Share over here according to your experience of social networking world.

    There are a few big sites, such as Youtube and Google +1 is in the making. However, the only tangible item up for competition is traffic and each site will do things differently in order to attract traffic. It's a popularity contest.

    Much like MySpace once attracted a large share of internet traffic which then dwindled and/or switched to Facebook, someday another service or site could become more popular than Facebook is currently.

    To answer your question in another way. A direct competitor in the form of another Facebook service will not come up to beat it out, but a new type of site/service that attracts the right amount of interest and becomes viral could slowly gain a larger share of traffic.

    Facebook knows that the internet is about fads and is continually growing and adapting in order to increase longevity, but someday people could grow bored of it and move on to the next latest and greatest. Who knows what will happen.
