Tutorial of how to set up a website.

Hello.

I have spent some time on WarriorForum now and i've realized that the first step towards earning some decent money online is to set up your own website.

However, i have pretty much no experience at all when it comes to setting up websites. All that i have managed in the past is to purchase a domain and purchase hosting, but never actually set anything up myself.

I have used the search function here on WarriorForum and have come up with nothing, and when i search on google i can't find a tutorial clean enough to be instructive and informative whilst not being cluttered with ads and nonsense.

Does anyone know where i can find a proffesional, instructive and informative tutorial, that stays on the subject?

  • the easiest thing you can do
    is download wordpress install it in your website
    and after start writing your posts
    you can change the theme on your wordpress site
    and there you go a ready website.

    make sure to add good content to it
    and find a good domain for your seo
    before building your site you should make a research about your niche
    and to see if you will be able to rank for your desired keyword

  • I agree that Wordpess is the easiest and fastest way to set up a website. If you want to make money online you don't really need to know a lot about web design, its something that can be easily outsourced, as its only the starting point. You should be able to get a basic site with a unique theme set up for about $600.

    If you do want to set up your own site some web hosts have simple ways of installing Wordpress, but they vary from host to host. Who is your webhost? If its one of the big ones I may be able to give more specific help with getting started.

      Well i haven't really purchased a domain / hosting yet since i would like to read through some sort of instructions first
      And about wordpress, is there any sort of ''tutorial'' for that, or is it easy enough to understand anyway? I have never installed a plugin in my entire life

    As you don't know HTML and wordpress , so creating a website from scratch is not very easy. If you really want to create your website by yourself , wordpress is the very good . This is very easy to setup a website and there are lot of tutorial available online to setup a wordpress website.

      Yes i know that for me the best option would be to outsource the job, but i want to learn aswell hehe. I'd like to be more independent.

  • Its a given that you need a website to get business from a website. However building your own website can be difficult if you ve never done one. I suggest you get someone to make one for you. During the process you will learn a lot. Like what market, what product, what words to use etc. IM is a long journey and to retain your motivation you need to see hings happening and get results as you go along. Learning from scratch is important but can sometimes be counterproductive. There are heaps of people that can build you a website here on this forum. Just look in the Services section. Dont get bogged down with the technical stuff. Keep looking at the big picture. You can worry about the detail later...or you'll never get started.

    first think about the topic your website is going to be about
    after make keyword reasearch on gogle
    after register your domain and hosting
    download Dreamweaver (if your know word you can use it)
    basically this is a software that allow you to create a website
    like if you were in word
    you get what you see. so you save your page into your computer
    go to your hosting and get your ftp username and password
    upload your website
    and thats it. the comple process to create a website
    also you can download wordpress and install it in your hosting
    you can look on youtube for more tutorials
    dont make complicated something that is simple
