It may sound like a silly question but I have been out of this for quite a few years and forgot how to do this so here goes.

I am trying listwire as my autoresponder for this site until I can make a little money. They have to verify(opt in) this can't be turned off. My first message after that will have a link to a free report I wrote. I am using WP. Where do I upload the report so they can DL it?

I made a page for the download that would not be listed in my bolg I tried to copy the PDF and paste it into the page and it did not work. I don't remember how to do this. I am using Godaddy for my domain. Do I have to upload it to the server then link to that?

    You have to upload the pdf file first and then add the url of the pdf file you just hosted with your download page.

    Just upload the file using ftp in some directory "download" if you already have one or just create it.

      Uploading and linking it directly is not good as your file will get indexed and can be leeched if you want to know how to prevent it then PM me.
