Default How to Be a CPA Millionaire Part II: $100,000 Numbers Game

CPA Millionaire Part II: It’s a Numbers Game

I’ve received numerous PM’s regarding a post a made awhile ago titled “How To Be a CPA Millionaire” so I decided to write a follow up post here, hopefully to inspire some more people to put in the work and take advantage of the lucrative and exciting CPA Marketing world. Two things before we start…

If you haven’t read Part I, you can visit it by Clicking Here
If you haven’t read Part III, you can visit it by Clicking Here

If you want a printable pdf version of this (no opt in) you can download free at

Let me preface this post by saying that the following concept is one that I built my business around and the intent here is to give motivation and inspiration to those people who aren’t achieving their online goals yet. Making money online is very real and very achievable due to the massive scope of the internet. It all comes down to scale. Internet World Stats estimates that in 2009 there were over 1.8 billion internet users worldwide…this is Billion with a B. If you can capture a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of this you will be living as you please!

In my personal opinion, making $100,000 online is substantially easier than any other legal way to make money I can think of. Doing six figures is not rocket science, but it’s not a walk in the park and will require substantial work and effort…it is relatively easy, not absolutely easy. Anybody, anywhere, with any background, skin color, race, language, age can make money online and this level playing field makes online marketing a brilliant beast!

Now enough ramble, let’s get into what I call “A Numbers Game”. When I started online I knew I wasn’t the smartest guy and my internet knowledge was limited, so instead of trying to break into and dominate a competitive niche, I decided to work with the power of numbers. The power of numbers essentially means that if you multiply a very small result enough times, you get a substantial result. It’s a very simple yet very powerful philosophy that helped me grow my business from nothing to what it is today.

Okay, so five examples of ways YOU can enter the 6 figure internet marketing club using the power of numbers.

#1 Video Marketing

This is one of the first ways I promoted CPA offers because it was Easy, Free, and Passive. It’s easy because it doesn’t involve anything very technical and with the right software, videos are extremely easy to create…details later Its free because it costs nothing to make a video and upload it to video directories like YouTube, so you don’t need to pay for traffic. Its passive because once you make and upload a video, it will theoretically be up forever, enabling you to earn money for weeks, months, years to come without doing any more work.

If you plan to do video marketing, there are plenty of courses and threads on this forum to learn how to do it successfully, but let’s focus on how the Power of Numbers relates to video marketing.

For example sake, let’s say you are creating videos using Animoto, which is a piece of cheap software that makes videos out of pictures you give it. You can render videos extremely fast, re-render videos with one touch of a button for a completely unique video, and you can run the software on multiple browser windows at once. People cry after they do 2 or 3 videos and don’t make a lot of money. While those people cried, I decided to work with the power of numbers and create dozens of videos per day if not more…sometimes many more.

Okay, so let’s say you are targeting a $30 trial offer for example, even though many trial offers have a much higher payout than that, but let’s be conservative. So, you decide to render and re-render 30 videos per day, as I said I did more than that, but let’s be conservative. Now, on day 1 you create 30 videos and upload to Youtube and the other directories using Tubemogul or something similar. Now those 30 videos each get 5 views a day, meaning you get 150 views per day or 4500 views per month from that one batch of videos that took you one day to do. Out of those 4500 views, you get one measly conversion at $30 per month, meaning your conversion rate was .02%...again, this is conservative. That one bundle of videos essentially made you an average of one conversion per month or put another way it made you $30 per month or $1 per day.

Guess what? That one bundle of videos that took you a day to make will make you $30 next month as well because once the videos are up, they are up. So you just created a $1/day autopilot income stream indefinitely, assuming your videos don’t get taken down for some reason.

Now, in day 2 you do the exact same thing you did in day 1, you create another 30 videos which will make you one conversion per month again on autopilot. You just set up another $1 income stream per day, meaning you are now making an autopilot $2 per day after the two days work. You guys now get the point….every 30 videos you create (1 days work) sets up another $1 income stream per day autopilot.

So each day’s work, I essentially set up another $30 per month income stream which is the same as saying I set up another $1 per day income stream. So, my thought was, heck, if I do this for 100 days straight, BAM I just set up an autopilot $100 per day because I set up 100 different $1 income streams. Guess what…do this for one year straight, and now you set up 365 $1 per day income streams so you now have an autopilot $365 per day which is roughly $133,000 per year autopilot after your first full year of setting up 30 videos every day. Do this for two years straight, and now you are making $730 per day or $266,000 per year. Lots of tedious work, but that’s some nice dough. And remember, my example numbers were being conservative. If the conversion rate was really .04% as opposed to .02%, then after a year you would be making an autopilot $266,000 and after two years, $532,000 or half a million dollars per year.

Again, I dummied down the process a bit, but the point is to show how the power of numbers can turn small, seemingly insignificant income streams into a much more substantial one!

#2 Bum Your Way to Fortunes

Okay, so I consider “Bum Methods” anything that involves constant work such as chatting in chat rooms, chatting on forums, manually talking to people on video games over the internet, going door to door promoting your offer, or anything that is real-time interaction with people. Again, there are guides and threads on many different ways to bum your way to promoting CPA offers, but for this example let’s stick with chatting with people on chat sites or chatting with people on dating sites like eHarmony etc. This can be done completely whitehat and ethical!

For this example, let’s also assume we will be promoting the Netflix free trial offer. Most of the people reading this know that I love the Netflix offer and actually created an e-book on some ways to profit from the Netflix offer, because it’s one of my most stable and profitable offers I’ve promoted. For those who don’t know what Netflix is…it’s an online DVD rental company that will pay us as affiliates anywhere from $16 to $24 if we can get people to sign up for their 2 week free trial. The best part is that it is a great service that most people in the US are interested in and there is $0 cost to the consumer. It’s a fantastic offer to say the least.

Okay, so in order to achieve our six figure goal of $100,000 per year and assuming the Netflix offer is paying $20 per trial (normally varies between $16 and $23), then that means we need to get 13.5 conversion per day to reach our six figures. Remember that this is an offer that converts really well because there is no cost to the consumer and it’s something a huge demographic is interested in.

So now you can go onto chat rooms and start chatting with people and becoming friendly and then trying to convince them to sign up for your Netflix. Or you can make friends on dating sites and do the same. If you are a smooth talker, this should be relatively easy. Hint hint…find a matching Netflix DVD and tell people they should try your Netflix free trial to see that specific DVD and oh yeah, it’s free for them!

But, you can take it a step further and give people something (an incentive) if they sign up for your offer. This is called incentivizing your offer. So let’s pretend you are bumming your way on internet video game streams, also known as online gaming. You are talking to players of some game and tell those people “hey if you sign up for this Netflix trial it will really help me out and it costs you nothing. If you do this for me, I will send you over a free cheat guide, or give you my weapons (if possible) or something else of interest” The other gamers get something free if they sign up for Netflix through your link so if you are doing this for hours a day, you can talk to many dozens internet players or more and you only need to convince them to sign up 15-20 times (payout on incentivized Netflix offer is a bit lower). And you can even get more than one conversion per person because you can tell people you will give them an extra special bonus if they can get 2 other people such as family, friends, neighbors to sign up. BAM, that’s 3 conversions in one shot.

This method is certainly viable but will take time and works best if you are a smooth talker. It just shows that a six figure income is within reach to you!

#3 The Golden List

Some people have their whole online income coming from email lists they have built. Essentially this is a whole strategy in itself, but the idea is that people build huge email lists and then send promotional offers such as CPA offers to their lists and make money when their subscribers sign up for the CPA offer or they promote products to their list and earn a commission for being an affiliate of a product.

List building is a strategy on its own but many techniques involve giving out something for free if people give you their email addresses. For example, you can give out a free eBook on how to train your dog if people give you their name and email address. If you work hard, you can build massive lists of many 10’s of thousands or maybe over 100,000 emails that you can promote to due to the scope of the internet.

In this example, let’s say you work hard for many months to build a list of 30,000 subscribers. This is doable and within reach with some hard work. Again, there is a whole strategy here but let’s focus on the power of numbers right now. So now we have a list of 30,000 that we can send emails to. Let’s start by promoting the Netflix offer just as an example. We write up a quick email that convinces people that they should sign up for the Netflix free trial through your link. Now let’s say that one half of one percent (1 out of 200) of your emails subscribers sign up, which means 150 people sign up at the payout of $20 which is $3,000 profit earned from sending out just one email. If you do this 34 times per year or a little less than 3 of these promotional emails with similar results per month, BAM, that’s over $100,000. Of course you would have to use different CPA offers, products, and have other emails in between mailings to keep your subscribers loyal, but it goes to show how the power of numbers works when you have a large list of subscribers.

Imagine if your list was 50,000 or 100,000! Or imagine if you were promoting info products that had a commission of $1000, then you would only need to convince 100 of your 30,000, 50,000, or whatever subscribers to sign up for the info product and voila, your six figures is met!

Power of Numbers baby!

#4 Product Creation

Product creation is the development of a product or line of products, which in our case will be digital products or eBooks. The idea here is that you either have the knowledge yourself or you find the information about a given topic and then consolidate all this information into a guide or book of value to purchasers. This doesn’t necessarily have to be in the “make money online” niche, and probably shouldn’t be if you aren’t making online yet yourself!

Okay, so now let’s get into the power of numbers. As a brief background, once you create a digital product you can A) upload it to a digital product directory like Clickbank and then all you do is wait for affiliates to promote your product and receive a commission check by Clickbank, who handles fulfillment, payments, etc after you upload your product or B) find affiliates with email lists or web sites that wish to promote your product and split commissions with them on any sales made or C) combine the both. When you release a product, it’s called a product launch, and you can learn more about this concept by searching the internet.

Scenario 1: In this scenario, we are going to create 2 small eBooks that we will upload to clickbank and some of the other digital product databases. Maybe the first product is a product on how to train your dog and the second is on how to pick up chicks. You create the products, upload them to the databases and have a selling price of $27. Now the commission for the affiliates of your product is going to be 60% and you get 40% or $10 per sale. To reach our goal of $100,000 per year, we need to sell about 26 eBooks per day or 13 of the dog training eBooks and 13 of the pick-up chicks eBooks. You can research ways to promote your clickbank products, but this just shows the reaching 6 figure is doable. In order to get a lot of sales, you will need to do more beyond just uploading to clickbank and waiting, but a dozen sales per day is very achievable with some promotion. Or think about this…what if you created 13 different eBooks. Then you would only need to sell an average of 2 of each per day.

Scenario 2: Now let’s say for the next 6 months….yes 6 months, you do a lot of work on a particular big launch niche product. This can be weight loss, make money, whatever has a huge demand. Now you have 6 months which means you can put together a sick product. You also can work on finding big JV relationships to promote the product once launched. The idea here is that you do one big product, one big bang launch and then hopefully walk away with well over $100,000 in launch profits. This is achievable and happens often. There are many million dollar launches as well…the sky’s the limit.

Just another way where scale and the power of numbers are powerful ways to bring in the loot!

#5 PPC Your Way

I probably don’t have to tell you, but in case you don’t already know, people are making enormous sums from promoting CPA offers via pay per click, sums in excess of many thousands per day. PPC is where my largest campaigns have been as well. It’s a tricky and unforgiving beast, but the opportunity to make a months’ worth of income in just a day makes it a higher risk higher reward game. PPC is tough but the rewards are great.

In this section, I want to just throw out some numbers to show you how the power of numbers can make internet marketing an extremely lucrative machine. These numbers are very general and will depend on many factors, but I will dumb it down for simplicity sake.

Step 1: First you start your test. Do keyword research and come up with a 500 keyword campaign. Set up tracking at the keyword level and monitor your campaign often. Your landing page will be designed (not copied) by looking at what all the other big dog marketers are doing for that same offer.

Step 2: Your initial test seemed good, so you decide to run with the campaign. You get rid of 80% of the keywords that weren’t converting. You do a few split tests on your landing page to increase conversion. After some more data you weed out more keywords and now you are left with 25 keywords. You scrap your campaign and build a new one on a new domain to start fresh. You use those 25 keywords, your optimized landing page and you expand on your more profitable keywords some more.

Step 3: You keep on tracking, testing, and optimizing. You keep on weeding out the bad keywords and expand on the good ones. This is the tedious part, but you have turned your campaign profitable and are now working on scale. If you want you can replicate your campaign on a different domain, pursue other traffic sources, etc but we won’t get into that now so that we can keep it simple. This is what you are left with…

30 keyword PPC campaign
1 landing page that has gone through numerous split tests
1000 click per day at an average of $0.35 per click is $350 ad cost
Conversion rate is 2% on a $35 payout offer = $700
This means your profit is $350 per day, which is annualized to be $127,750

And this is only one campaign, one traffic source!

As you can see, the power of numbers and scale is huge in internet marketing. In the first examples, you saw that if you can develop a small income stream, you can multiply the heck out of it to create a massive river of income. There are countless ways to earn 6 figures online, so I hope this guide provided a little insight to just how achievable it is. It won’t be easy, but it is certainly within reach.

As a disclaimer, I did dumb down the process in most of these examples. My intent was to focus on showing you how the power of numbers is a hugely important concept in making lots of money with CPA offers; it was not to develop in depth blueprints on how to build each of the respective campaigns!

If you want, you can press the THANKS button below if you thought this was helpful. If a lot of people found this helpful, perhaps I will come up with some more examples to add on to the above ones! My goal is to light a small fire under your bum for you to get cracking on your CPAing.

To Your Success and Prosperity,
Ken Spano (Kenster)

Very nice post Kenster and all those methods are very achievable if the person is willing to invest the time and effort it takes and they stop looking for that easy red button method that will bring them thousands of dollars tomorrow. Most people don`t want it bad enough to put the work in over the long term.

Rags2Riches is a little more comprehensive so I would suggest that, but DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WILL PUT IN A LOT OF ACTION. I want all my customers to walk out as huge winners so if you are going to just read and forget then I wouldnt even bother buying.

Its about you and you doing well. Put in the work and become another huge success story!!

And that's the main difference right there...how much somebody wants it. It's amazing how much you can convince yourself to work and sacrifice if you want something bad enough.

Making money online is no different. Great comment John!

Good stuff. I'm assuming your two courses pretty much deal with the specifics? If one has been banned from Adsense before, how do they go about getting the Netflix CPA when they work through Adsense? Or is there another way to go besides going directly through Netflix?

My first post in the forum although I have been reading it for quite a while and also purchased a number of WSOs, propably too many!!

Up until now I have been very much a reader and not an action taker, I have been too easily put off by the latest guru course offering the secrets to online wealth. I actually now get angry when I join a mailing list and get bombarded with offers all the time. These people aren't interesting in helping you succeed, they only want to line their own pockets. Please realise I am mainly talking about people outwith this forum.

The direction I plan to go initially is with promoting Netfix, thanks Kenster for making me aware of it. I agree with the principle of "a lot doing a little", or the power of numbers, and plan to build 20 campaigns each making $30 a day. I believe that it must be easier to have many campaigns making a small amount rather than one campaign making a large amount. Hopefully this will prove to be correct.

One question I do have about Netflix is about searching for movies. Is there any way of searching without becoming a member? Is there a side door that an affiliate can enter to gain access to the database? As you can tell I haven't signed up as a member as I live in the UK and if I provided a valid address I am sure it would be rejected. I could always sign up with false US address but then there would be issues paying the monthly membership with my credit card. What is the best way around this?

Thanks for any assistance you can give me.

zimbo,
If you live in the UK, why don't you just promote Lovefilm and not agonize over Netflix? This was addressed in the wso, did you miss that?

great post (as always)

how much capital do you suggest to be sufficient to start jumping into PPC?
(just enough to get your feet wet and hopefully profit $1/day)

PPC engine other than adwords of course, e.g yahoo, MSN or 2nd tier

I'm sure there's plenty here that manage too accumulate some capital from bum marketing and decided it's about time to dive into PPC

PPC engine other than adwords of course, e.g yahoo, MSN or 2nd tier

I'm sure there's plenty here that manage too accumulate some capital from bum marketing and decided it's about time to dive into PPC

If you are going down the PPC path wth no experience, you should focus your first efforts on learning as much as you can before jumping in. The rewards are great but its a very unforgiving beast and it will eat you up if you dont go on with knowledge, diligence, and a plan. Its hard to give a specific number, but I think with some good diligence, $1000 should do. If you start with a small budget, you will need to test very small and you wont have the option to try and run out a campaign with potential but not imemdiate results.

The thing with PPC is that its the difference between making $1 per day and $300 per day isnt that much. If you can get to $1, you can get way beyond that with a few split tests and optimization. With that said, its much much harder to break that break even barrier to even get to $1. Its a higher risk higher reward demon.

Enjoy, be careful, and hopefully I will see you in the winners circle!

Ken,
Whenever I come to the warrior forums, I look for your posts first as your posts are filled with awesome content. This (free) post you made about How to be a CPA Millionaire Part II has more value than 90% of the WSO's out there. Sounds scary but it's the truth! Good stuff man.

Cheers,

Payman.

I know! I feel exactly the same way! I feel a lil' silly admittin' this to y'all but:

A few days ago I was registering at a new website (lessthanfour.org - I'm a leg amputee), and part of the info it asked for was 'Who Are My Heroes?'. I had no problem whatsoever listing Jesus, my Dad, and Ken from WF!!!

If you can pull that off, that is the kind of efficiency that will take you very far in this industry. Actually, if you can pull that off, I think I may have a job opening with my team!

Kenster, How in the world you created 30 videos in one day? (You even said "Per Day") If I have CPA offer about Insurance then what, how, where to create 30 videos about insurance cpa offers?

You said if we have 5 views it means we can get "conservatively" 150 visitors/month/video, views don't always means visitors right?

If one should invested their times creating 30 videos / day and suddenly the CPA is expired, won't that be a waste of time? Because CPA offers life span is not too long.

People spam Youtube with the same video which has been slightly modified to get past Youtubes spam filters.

Kenster,

I was wondering if you could elaborate more on your video marketing strategy. A big chunk of my income comes from video marketing as well. However, I go about it in a completely different way.

So, my questions are:

1) When you make your videos with animoto, are you ONLY using pictures of the product itself and screen shots of the products LP?

2) Are you doing review type videos?

3) Are you using the basic version of animoto?

4) Are you inserting text in these videos as well?

5) Do you insert your links in the comment box or flash them in the actual video?

6) What CPA niches have worked best for you via video marketing?

You are correct. A view is like an impression and a visitor is somebody that clicks through to your lp or offer page, depending on how you set up your campaign.

There are ways to set up your videos for long term sustainability so that your campaign doesnt die when the CPA offer expires. One good way to pursue this is to approach your video strategy with a few different niches and then set up a domain for each. All your videos relating to a given niche will go to one domain, so all you would need to do when an offer expires is (change the aff link to a new offer if you are redirecting or iframing) or do a little modification to your landing page based on the new offer and voila.

You can effectively have 500 videos pointing to one domain. In 4 months when the current weight loss offer expires, you just need to do a little work on the one domain, and now all 500 videos are up, running, and making you money again.

There is always a smart and more sustainable way to do things...maybe not always, but its something you should always think about

Hey Angel. Yes, video marketing is a great way to promote CPA offers, particularly if you are newer because its super easy to pull off. And yes, everybody is going to have their own strategy, but the one I briefly mentioned is one that I did and it worked just fine for me.

As for the specifics of using animoto, I dont like to go into detail because I don't know all of the TOS of animoto and I dont want to go telling people to do something that violates them. Admittedly, when I was doing video marketing a lot and during the beginning of my CPA career, I did some things that may have violated TOS, but nothing really bluefart or anything.

With that said, the software is extremely simple and you can probably figure out everything in short time.

The KEY for me was creating a good marketing message. This is uber important with video marketing....coming up with a CREATIVE and good message that ties together your video, your cpa offer, your text slides, your domain, everything. If you come up with a good message, then make a ton of videos revolving around that, and thats what I considered a "campaign". Its an art.

It seems that no one wants to share either landing pages or any of their promos, like ready vids on youtube.
What regards Animoto - I used it pretty much in different niches of late. It doesn't pay off for now, because of Idunnowhat...
It's fun creating a video, it's an art, but it got to be the right and the only way "DEAL CLOSING", "CONVERSION" way. I'm sure I'm on my way
Having in mind the fact that I don't harm my campaign here is the video for your judgement (big dogs) and maybe some learning(noobs).

hxxp www dot youtube dot com / watch?v=35WWmsvufT0

(sorry, don't have enough posts for links of yet)

P.S. don't ever use .cc domain for your landing pages.

Hi, Kenster

Thanks for the inspiration. I've always knew that internet marketing in general is a numbers game. If we put in the hours, we reap the rewards. Thats what selling is all about. Babe Ruth went through the same scenario. More strikes with the ball, the more home runs.

Kenster,

How do you produce 30+ videos a day? There must be an efficient way to do this without actually starting from scratch on all of them right? Thanks in advance!

Animoto and other programs perhaps let you render multiple videos at once. You can create an all new video with the touch of a button.

Power of numbers baby.

And FYI, I have done many more than 30 on some days. Like many more!

Hey Mr. Ken, how do you do THIRTY video's without getting REDUNDANT, because wouldn't all the video's basically be a "repeat" of another, in some way, shape, or form?

How does this work, big bro'?

You can literally change the music and ad an extra slide or two in 10 seconds. Bam, re-render. Its possible to do many more than 30 videos. Just think about it

Good luck CPAing and now BUILD THAT SIX FIGURE INCOME!

Also keep in mind that my 6 figure example assumes all videos and accounts stay up forever. YT and other portals have and will continue to crackdown, so this isn't necessarily true.

Its more to give you an idea how the power of numbers can help you build an online empire.

Yep, if you can get big enough or good enough at something, it always looks easy, right? Good Golfers make a 300 yard drive seem extremely simple. The same is true with internet marketing. People who are good at IM make a 500k income look easy.

Guess what...golfers put in a lot of work and sacrifice to make that 300 yard look so easy, and internet marketers put in a lot of work to make their massive incomes seem easy.

OUT OF THE BOX THINKING...BINGO...OR SHOULD I SAY...CHI CHING

Put them to action! Ideas are what its all about, but most people fail because ideas just stay as ideas and not turned into reality. Take an entreprenerial leap and take action on your ideas!!
