Default CPA Networks - Surefire Way To Get In for Beginners

Hi,

I've been lurking around in the warrior forum and I haven't really contributed yet. I think it's time to become an active member and to add some value. Now it looks like a bunch of people are worried about getting in the CPA Networks.

3 Weeks ago I wasn't in any network. I applied to 15 of them and I got accepted to all of them. Did I have a plan? You bet!
Here it is:

First of all let me tell you that it isn't a big deal to get into the networks.
Yes everybody in the forums is talking about it and that's exactly the reason why people get nervous. All you need is a plan of attack. Having a plan makes everything easier.

Let me tell you that I got nervous by reading the posts in the forums and I though 'my god I don't want to talk to those monsters (affiliate managers) because they'll eat me alive' .

Once I called them it was a piece of cake and they turned out to be very cool people.

So without further ado, here is my blueprint in a nutshell.
(please note that English isn't my first language so if you find any
typos or grammar flaws you can keep them )

-Get a domain and a good looking website.
-Apply to the networks
-Contact the Affiliate Managers immediately after applying
-Tell them what they wanna hear

Action Step 1: Brainstorm and register a domain name

This is an easy one, come up with a company/domain name.
In my opinion it should have the word 'marketing' in it and it should sound like a legit company name. Don't waste to much time here, just pick something like 'Southwest Marketing' or 'Evolution Marketing' or 'eMarketing International'.
If you can't come up with anything, go to google and type in "marketing companies" or just take your yellow pages and look for Marketing Companies. That should give you ideas.

Now head over to Namecheap.com and register your domain name, e.g. www.evolution-marketing.com

Action Step 2: Get a nice looking website + email address

What I did is I checked the warrior forum and digital point for freelancers.
Just check the 'Services' section and you'll find people offering their services and you can also contact people via private message and make them an offer.

I always recommend that you choose a fellow warrior.

I contacted people and eventually I got a good deal for 77 bucks. Plan to spend around 100-200 for a nice website. Some fellow warriors might can help you out with a buddy who's doing it for less.

Let me show you how your page should look like, just some examples:
Evolution Marketing
CPA Affiliate Network | Affiliate Programs | Advertising | IncentReward
Internet Marketing Company - Online Marketing Company - eVisibility

Now I will show you a page where you can find some great business templates. You can choose one you like and show it to your programmer. He will handle the rest. You'll find the templates here:

Business Web Templates | Business Flash Templates | Template Monster

This will take 3-7 days. It really depends on what you arrange with your programmer. Try to make it a urgent case or pay him 20 bucks more to get it done in 48 hours if you wanna give it a little push.

Once you got your site up and running you have to go to your hosting account and create a simple email account. Just click on 'Email Web Account' and click 'Create Account'.

You can choose whatever you want in front of your domain name. I strongly recommend that you use your first and last name. When I applied I used info@mydomainname.com and some of the Affiliate managers told me that those names are suspicious to them. They told me the name in front of the domain looks way better to them.
So keep that tip in mind. Therefore your e-mail address should look like this:
AlbertEinstein@EvolutionMarketing.com

Action Step 3: Apply to the Networks

When I started out (not too long ago) I planned to apply to 5 networks every day for a week. I ended up applying to 15 networks in 3 hours and ever since I never applied again. I got accepted to all of them.
Here is a list of 10 popular networks you can apply for right now:

AzoogleAds.
Neverblue CPA Network - Cost per action, sale and lead generation affiliate marketing
Clickbooth Publisher Affiliate Network and CPA Network
The Advaliant Affiliate Network: Home of Performance Marketing – People, technology and service you can trust
RocketProfit.com Affiliate Network
www.hydramedia.com
MAXBounty.com - highest paying CPA rates
COPEAC - Digital Marketing Defined
www.cpaempire.com
Affiliate Marketing Services - LinkShare

Now you will have to go to the the websites and fill out the form. Here are the questions some people struggle with, and my answers.

Industry experience?
yes

How long have you been doing affiliate marketing?
Over 1 year

Minimum monthly commissions with other networks?
1,500

Spend allotted to marketing efforts?
150 - 300

What Niches?
Health, Dating, Insurance

Promotion type? (Never choose incentive)
Article Marketing, Organic SEO, Click Per View, Email, Banners
(Choose the ones you are comfortable with)

Website URL?
Put here always your company URL.
If they ask for more pages and you have a blog or landing page, add them.
If there is a field where you can leave a comment, do so: I build my websites around converting offers. The above mentioned websites are old, I don't wanna reveal my current landing pages.

(Is that a perfect answer? I guess not but that's exactly what I answered though)

Unique visitors per month?
1000 - 5000

How do you drive traffic to your website?
I buy banner space and also use click per view. I also like article marketing and once I got a winner I ramp the campaign up with PPC.

Ok that's it, if you come across another question and you don't know the answer - don't suffer in silence! Just ask here in the Warrior forum and you will get an answer in no time!

Comments? (At the bottom of a lot of the forms you will find a 'Comments' field, I always filled that out with the following

I am doing affiliate marketing for over 1 year now. I will use different online marketing techniques to promote your campaigns. I will be using Article marketing and organic SEO to direct traffic to your campaigns as I've had great results with these techniques. Other methods I will be hoping to use is CPV and PPC once I found a promising campaign. I have experience in a variety of techniques when it comes to promote products online.

(This answer also applies to the "How do you drive traffic" question)

Action Step 4: Contact the network immediately!

This might be the most important step. Once you've submitted your application you must contact the network right away in order to get accepted immediately. Be proactive!

Once you've submitted the application you'll either find a thank you page or a confirmation e-mail or both. They will provide you their contact information, most of the time they will even already provide you a Number you can call or your affiliate manager's Messenger ID.

Now here is a Gold Nugget most people don't know about. Go to The Affiliate AIM List - Instant Messaging List for the Affiliate Marketing Community , there you have the affiliate manager's AIM-ID's

Don't lose any time now, go ahead and contact them Right Away. This is exactly how I got accepted immediately into all the big networks.
The good thing is that you just filled out the forms and the answers are still fresh in your memory. They will ask you the same questions that you were asked to fill out in the form.

(Tip: I wrote all my answers on a paper and had it in front of me before I called/contacted them via phone/messenger)

Just give them the same answers as in the forms! The Affiliate Managers all turned out to be very cool and relaxed, you'll make them money so if you answer their 3 questions they will be satisfied and accept you right away. That's the whole magic.

Now here are a couple of additional questions they asked me:
(Like I said, the 2 main questions remain the same: How do you drive traffic?. What offers do you promote?)

What other networks do you use?
Clickbooth, Azoogle, Rocketprofit, Commission Junction, Clickbank

How's it going with them?
Oh I really can't complain. I was focusing on Clickbank first but ever since I started to integrate CPA offers and combining them with my Clickbank offers my profits began to rise. Therefore I'm looking for more alternatives now.

Are you going to promote incentivized offers?
No

What niches/offers are you interested in?
Health, Dating, Insurance

Do you have a list? If yes, how big is it?
Yes, I have a list of 800+ in the Health niche, it's steadily growing.

Ok guys and gals, that's exactly how I got accepted. Now I'm no guru or anything like that and other people might choose other ways to get accepted. This Blueprint worked extremely well for me and it will do the same for you.
Even if you get rejected once in a while, please keep in mind that there are hundreds of networks.
Apply to 20 networks in the next 5 days using my blueprint and I promise you that you'll get accepted to at least 15.

I really hope that I could help some fellow warrior and I wanted you to realize that it's not that much of a big deal once you have a plan of attack.

Go and take Action, be proactive and don't hesitate.

Good Luck!
Mario

p.s. Please let me know what you think about my plan of attack and the pro's might add a couple of tips for struggling warriors.

p.s Please note that English isn't my first language so if you find any
typos or grammar flaws you can keep them

Excellent post yellowboy.

I don't know what is more important...knowing how to get in or knowing what to do once you are in.

It is good to learn from doing but there is no need for anyone just starting out to start spending and losing alot of money right upfront.

Start with some offers that you would sign up for your self. What types of friends do you have? What are your common interest? What social or professional websites do you and your friends gather at?

Now you can begin to start finding offers that will be the easiest to convert for you because you personally know alittle bit about that niche and what may make it attractive enough for someone to click on it.

Once you get into the groove with a few conversions under your belt then you can study up on PPC and split testing.

You never have to follow a 123, ABC roadmap to the exact letter. Sometimes it pays better to think of some creative ways to do things that not many people may be doing.

hi cleaning and jobid,

no problem, my pleasure.

Honestzipbro I guess first of all you have to get in. Lots of people seem to be nervous about that so I guess that's the first step to take.

Then of course they have to find a way to actually make money. Soon I'll post a step by step newbie friendly way to start making money with cpa without the hassle of learning ppc.
I mean ppc is great but I prefer the easy way.

I totally agree with you that it's all about creativity when you talk about cpa. You have to find a way to make people submit their info.
At least that's way easier than making them give their credit card information away.

I think beginners should definitely stay away from ppc at first and try free traffic sources. First make your first money online, then try to repeat it and then try to achieve that on a consistent basis.
Now I guess it's time to ramp that thing up with PPC. (Just keep the learning curve in mind)

I'm sure that it's much more motivating to have your first sales or conversions BEFORE you start with PPC.

Lots of people make the mistake that they start out with PPC even though they don't know what they are doing, then they lose money and get frustrated and some eventually give the whole IM thing up.

So I recommend to start out with the free sources till you make your first cash and see that it's possible and then move to on a complexer subject like PPC.

My 2 cents =)

Hi cleaning.
I don't really understand your question.

Do you mean if it's okay to have an autoblog to show them when you apply and they ask you for a website??

Great post!

Something to add: Instead of registering a brand new domain, you might want to consider buying a "2nd hand" domain that is at least 2 years old. There are AMs who perform domain checks to see how 'established' a website is by virtue of the date it was registered. And if they see that your site was registered like yesterday, they'll think you're a newbie and not accept you.

@Johnson Tay
Man very good point, I haven't thought about that.
I also have to say that I had no problems with that, but this might be another advantage of contacting the Affiliate Managers immediately after applying.

Right now I think it even makes sense to conatact them upfront. I gave you the site where you can find their AIM ID's.
So just go ahead and contact them and start to talk to them. Just say: 'Hey my name is Albert Einstein and I'm going to apply to your network, I was wondering if you could be my affiliate manager'.
As you make them money I'm sure they will ask you to submit your application and then they will grab it and give you a short call.

@cleaning 72
Good question I don't think that should be a problem. I think it'd be a good idea to have any kind of promotion on that blog. Some of them actually check your page and if your site doesn't look like it fits their needs (getting traffic) then they might reject you.
But don't worry, I also provided an old blog that has no traffic and I got accepted to all of them. Just make sure your main page is a business page like I said in my first post.
Also check again what I said about the field 'comment' regarding your site. Tell them that this is just one of your sites and you don't want to reveal your current site.

I hope I could help.

Hey mario,

Great and Very Helpful info!

I had one of them deny me because they said my ip address was blacklisted,i convinced a 2nd one to accept me anyway as i was honest and told her i knew nothing about that, evidently someone had that ip address before me and was spamming a lot,i just know i wasn't doing it.

hi xebec.

Don't worry about a pattern. Look they want to make money and the more people they get the more money they can make.
My affiliate manager said that everything has gotten a little crazy since Arbitrage Conspiracy and to make sure that they don't get totally flooded by newbies they ask those questions.
It's not too long ago that I applied and I got accepted right away by giving exactly the answers mentioned. And honestly I think that those answers make a lot of sense as they could fit any Internetmarketer out there.

Paul: I'm glad you liked it, good luck with your application

Great post... thank.

I was declined by 2. However, my site was geared towards credit, debt consolidation type stuff. They actually said the reason for declining was because they didnt have offers for that type of site, wasn't what they were looking for. I am going to contact them again about other verticals.

Would love to read your future post about free traffic ideas.

I remember watching a video recently that had much of the same

I only applied to 3 and got accepted to all three using pretty much the same tactics.

On a different note...

Hey guys thanks for the great feedback!

@Fran: Hey I would like to see that video, where can I find it?

@fight_prof: Yep just go ahead and keep applying, there are hundreds of networks out there - just keep pushing

Yep got a Newbie Blueprint coming out soon and the best thing is you won't even have to spend 1197 bucks like for the Arbitrage Conspiracy and you don't have to pay 800 bucks for coaching either. You won't even need PPC or HTML skillz.

I always stick to the KISS Rule, keep it simple and stupid.

Cheers,
mario

hi kflo,

I would really appreciate that you open your own thread to push your 10 bucks ebook.
Actually, there is a section where you're supposed to post it, classified add.

My blueprint is all you need to get accepted and the info is for free. I have no problem with the fact that you're trying to make money with free info, lots of people do that - but please don't hijack my thread and read the rules, put your link in your signature and don't use people's thread to push your book

Regarding Maxbounty, immediately after applying they send you a email where they provide you a number to call. I called them directly and the whole process to get accepted to maxbounty took 10 minutes.

cheers,
mario

Hi Mario, I have a question relating to the content of the website.

You mention creating a marketing website (I guess because they will assume you are a professional marketer), but how important is that? Will they accept a website, let's say, review page of dieting pills? Or will they see it as a limitation to all there offerings?

Thanks
Pieter

Guys thanks for the great feedback!!

@Pieter,
Yes you should be totally fine with your site if it looks decent. And yes you are right, a marketing site makes you look like a pro and adds credibility, but if you got a site already it's all good. I meant that for people who don't have a site at all or just unprofessional sites.

If you have a decent site already, even better with some traffic, go ahead and apply .

Cheers,
mario

I hear they decline easily when you are from other countries. I'm from South-Africa so I'm extra scared :-)

You must follow up after applying via phone. Speak with confidence, and know what you are talking about. I am amazed at how many networks I have been accepted into. I didn't apply with a website. Again calling them to follow up is a big determinant in getting approved.

Stupid question: Obviously I haven't been inside of a CPA network. There is more than 140 of them, do many of them actually have the same offers/sponsers? Or do each have their own unique offers?

A lot of the top networks have the same offers/sponsors. The payout does however vary according to network.

Hi all,

thanks for the great feedback and pm's. Sorry that I couldn't answer sooner but I was busy with my first WSO and I'm still busy, but that's a good thing.

Now a couple of people asked me for coaching..

I haven't coached anybody so far and I don't think that I'm eligible for that. Furthermore I'm not that long in the game and I'm still trying to figure stuff out.

What I do is that I try to break complex systems in their simplest parts, doesn't matter if it's CPA or IM in general or other things in life.

That's why I came up with a step by step plan for newbies to make their first money with CPA withouth learning PPC, having a list or special skills.

Instead of coaching I offer this Plan plus a couple of bonuses for little money, if you are interested go ahead and check my Sig.
Also I'm soon going to post a step by step plan here soon, so if you don't wanna spend money hold on and wait for the post. It will take langer and will not make you super rich, but it should allow you to make your first money with CPA.

@soffell: thanks for the feedback, I stumbled over your reports 2 weeks ago and I really liked them, good stuff !

Cheers and Good Luck to All,
mario

Hi I'm new to CPA and are still busy been accepted by CPA's

I have a question though. I have joined CECash (because they are instant). They pay $1.5 per email submitted.

Overall, any CPA offereing which is only an email submit, must the user confirm their email address (confirmation email link) before you get credit for it?

There are so many post about not getting into CPA networks - why?

Affiliates are gold for a network why would we not accept anyone? Well the reason is that there are a ton of fraudulent affiliates attempting to get into networks daily, and we as Networks must protect our company, advertisers, and real affiliates from this. Therefore, we have a process all publishers must go through to get accepted. In general its fairly simple to get accepted just apply, then call or email or pick up when we call -be honest about your marketing. Don't just read off a list like this, if you are a real affiliate just tell us what your plan is we are more than willing to help you out even give you suggestions. I think many of these threads about how to get accepted to cpa networks are started by affiliates that are rejected for a very good reason.

I applied to 5 networks. The first one was declined and the other 4 pending.

I did everything even have a professional website about diet reviews
I guess I was decline because I'm from South-africa...Everything outside US is fraud these days (but even with so many fraud sales even in US, I don't understand why)

The company that declined me didn't even phone for an interview. I try to call all of them like 8 times...but it's almost impossible to get hold of them.
It's just an automated system saying: The person is on the phone or leave a voicemail. No luck at all

=Pieter

@yellowboy PS: If you say 150-300 allotted to marketing...do you mean per day or per month??? I said per month...it sounds a bit low

many if not most networks take international affiliates so its OK to be from Asia what you should not do is it try to fake that you are from somewhere else. The reason networks are extra careful with international affiliates is because much of the fraud come from this region - sad but true. So my advice be honest tell the network who you are and what you are doing, if the language is an issue send an email - they wil understand and if you are legit they will let you know.

Default Re: CPA Network Acceptance Blueprint 2009

Quick update. I called one of the networks yeserday. The lady HIT me with the questions and cross examin me. I got so nervous that I thought she is gonna decline me. I mentioned one of my affiliate programs (outside CPA) that I worked with for 1 year now. She asked which company and I mentioned it. Then we both knew someone that worked there (which was an excellent affiliate manager) and we started to chat about him, and INSTANTLY she approved me :-)

Another one called yesterday..we were on the phone 1min 30secs. He asked 2 questions and approved ma instantly as well.

I THINK: If you call them they ask you plenty of questions because they don't pay for the call. (especially international calls) but when they call you, they get it over as quick as possible.

As a newby, I also see that most of the offers are quite long leads. You don't really get those short email submit only offers, and if you do, they have to approve you first. (I'm currently with COPEAC and RoiRocket)

Where can I find the free Nintendo WII email submit offers? any network specific?

Thanks
Pieter

Please don't take this the wrong way, but why are you posting this information freely when you are also selling it as a main component of a WSO (which I bought and love)

Just curious?
