Default How To Create An Effective Link Wheel

Hi,

I'm just wondering how you would create an effective link wheel for SEO? I have heard the debate between open vs closed link wheels, but I am not convinced on how it is meant to be done.

How deep should they be?

Should you index the backlinks?

Where should the links be placed and how?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ally

Just remember that Google is not stupid. When creating link wheels, you need to structure them in a way that doesn't look unnatural.

As to open vs closed link wheels, I always leave them open to avoid an unnatural pattern. However I can't say for sure which is more effective as a lot of advanced SEO professionals say never close the wheels and other say they close them and have great results.

Basically, creating a link wheel is when you register on a whole bunch of web 2.0 websites and create articles on them which link back to your target page and to each web 2.0 entity that you create, thus backlinking your backlinks.

Google may not give you cedit for all the backlinks you create if you created all your web 2.0 entities on the same date, publish blogs and create links all on the same date, and use the same name and birthday to register all your accounts. This is because it isn't natural. <-- This is just my speculation and I always create them over a couple of months and never ping the backlinks all at once.

When you sign up, try to stagger your account sign up dates, if possible use different names/addresses/birthdays to sign up with on different computers, and your posts should be submitted on different dates.

Beware of copying exact structure of link wheels done by other people. If you google "link wheel" in images you will get a whole range of various link wheel structures which may work brilliantly, but too many people may be structuring their links in this pattern. Quality of you backlinks may decrease.

To make your link wheel structure unique and fresh always mix up the structure a little bit from a link wheel structure ideas you get from other people are more experienced.

Differ the amount of links you are posting and creating on a web 2.0 entity. While you may have seen structures that require you to create three links to go out of every page (two to your target pages and one to another web 2.0 post), it is always a good idea to vary the amount of links and their location.

You may also devalue each link if you submit the same article to all of your web 2.0 pages. To generate multiple versions (quickest and best option for your time), you will either need to write a unique article for each page (best option but most time-consuming), rewrite the same article into different words for each page, or write one article and use an article spinner.

You need to use anchor text. Your anchor text links must link back to your target page using a well-researched keyword that you are trying to optimize your page for. Don't stop backlinking your target pages once all your links are in place. It will appear more naturally than a flood of links that all just stop after a few weeks and the web pages will rise in the search engine results pages.

You don't necessarily need to use the same anchor text for your sub-links, but you will have a better result by at least keeping the anchor text related to your keyword.

In creating your next link wheel, just follow these simple steps to see amazing results in the SERPs.

Cheers,
Dave

Waste of time. Quit trying to fool Google with linkwheels and put your time into article marketing. Give Google what they really want, Fresh Content. Generate Articles, Distribute Articles to relevant niches sites, Rinse and Repeat. If you do it right its not that time consuming and you will see results that you will love as much as Google does.

You must make use of the open links to create the link wheel as also create the structure which contains the high PR to low PR sites like web 2.0, niche blogs, article site. As this will give you the maximum benefits for your site.

Lightbulb Re: How To Create An Effective Link Wheel

Before building a Link Wheel, it is vital to understand the strategies that make a Link Wheel work in the most effective manner. For creating a truly effective Link Wheel, one needs to make use of various properties. It is also important to ensure that the link in each article points only to just one other article in any of the web2.0 websites that constitute the Link Wheel. One of the effective ways of achieving this is by doing so on paper first. It is better to draw a diagram gives a picture of which web 2.0 website article will point to which of the remaining websites article.

For example, a Link Wheel containing web 2.0 websites like Blogger, Squidoo, HubPages, Wordpress etc, one can create a diagram which indicates that the article on Blogger will provide a link to the article on HubPages which will further provide a link to an article on Wordpress which might further contain a link to Squidoo and so on. Having the clear picture of which website links to which other website definitely helps in avoiding any confusion during the actual creation of links. It is also important to keep in mind that all these links ought to be one way links, meaning that no article is back linked by its target article.

For that the following steps are needed.

1) Write Article for your Topic.
2) Create Hubpage and Link it with your Article which you created.
3) Create Google Knol and Link it with the Hubpage.
4) Make Blogger Page and Link it with Google Knol.

Now after that you can Leave that wheel as it is or Link it with the blogger page.
