Promoting an online tool

Hi,

I have an useful online tool which contains various online calculators and conversions.
How can I promote such tool as my site is new and there are already established websites of this niche.

Please suggest some original ways to promote such site and which are related to the online tools niche.

Here is the site: http://ConvertForFree.com

Thanks a lot for your help!

How do you do it? With great difficulty! Not exactly what you'd like to hear.

I'll give you a few examples as to why:

    1. Immensely strong competition in Google.
    2. Not a desperate market.
    3. Hard to monetize.

If I were you, I'd concentrate on your gaming site. Bags of potential. The gaming market is one of my own. A site like that should be doing very well indeed (and probably is!).

Your best bet with the converter?

    1. Rank for long-tails.
    2. Look to socials.

      Thanks for the honest answer!

Indeed my game site is successful and I earn a lot of money from the ads located on site.

However I want to expand my business and try a different niche.
I think the online tools niche is quite popular as everyone search almost daily for specific converter or calculator. I have more then 70 of them, all are useful and they work also on the mobile.

I know it is a difficult job, but I have the time and money to do it.

The two tips you gave me are nice, any other tips how to promote those converters?

Tell you what to do . . .

Website Traffic & Mobile App Analytics | SimilarWeb

Plop your competitors into that and you'll be able to find out exactly how they get their traffic.

        Example:

        Connecting Site...

Insufficient data, with it being a new site, but you get the idea.

        Good luck.

I made a lot of SEO work lately and finally stated to some results.

I guess that if the content is good (in my case online conversions), then a new site can still gain reputation even though there is strong competition.

    Try content marketing.

Find blog posts that talk about the problems your calculators solve.

Create highly useful posts that have a link to your site.

Contact bloggers to see if they would like to post your high quality guest post.

Don't use anchor keywords other than your brand name/site name.
