Warriors,

I'm looking for a Wordpress plugin that links to a website every time I use a word in a blog post. Is there anyway to do this? I think I have come across a plugin that does this before.

OK - maybe I didn't explain well. Let me try again... every time I use the word Warrior Forum in a post for example, I want the word to automatically turn into a link to the Warrior forum homepage.

Yes there are plugins like this. They are usually used to link words to affiliate products when they are used in posts. I dont know of any free ones off the top of my head but im sure they are out there.

I know MaxBlogPress has a great plugin at MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate :: WordPress Affiliate Link Tracking Plugin that will do what your looking for.

Every time you type a pre-defined word, the plugin hyperlinks it to the website/link of your choice..

I've tried a few of the above, and I still like SEO Smart Links the best. It does a few cool things others don't do, (or do in limited ways) like:

SEO Smart Links can automatically link keywords and phrases in your posts and comments with corresponding posts, pages, categories and tags on your blog.

Further SEO Smart links allows you to set up your own keywords and set of matching URLs.

Finally SEO Smart links allows you to set nofollow attribute and open links in new window.

Everything happens completely transparent, and you can edit the options from the administration settings panel.

Another tip is to not use your direct affiliate URLs. Instead, use something like GoCodes to cloak them and control what they redirect do from your own blog.
