That's a good list, thanks for sharing it.

One essential plugin I think he has missed is The Instant Upgrade plugin for WordPress

It really makes upgrading my wordpress version very quick and easy. A great time saver.

I was just looking for a way to speed up the upgrade process so this is very welcome. I have so many niche blogs scattered around and some haven't been updated for 18 months

.

This plugin is just what I needed.

Found an interesting article here about caching your site, and taking into consideration the load you are putting on your database when encouraging loads of traffic.

Regardless, some good links and info about some important plugins there.

Before you get plugin-crazy...let's talk server load.

WordPress 2.7 includes automatic upgrades so by clicking just one link. There is no need for a third-party plugin anymore.

For everyone who just upgraded to WP 2.7 will notice that there is automatic built in upgrade in the admin panel. Never try before, still wait for the next WP version.
