Who Can Share the Secrets to Making Money with Amazon Associate

There are quite a few people on this forum who are killing it with Amazon, so I'm sure that they will have more insight on this topic than I do.

I can share with you what has worked for me with Amazon so far, though. My Amazon site is the first one I ever built and I had no idea what I was doing, but I've managed to figure a few things out.

This is how I did it:

1) Find a product (for example - flat screen tv). Make sure there are a number of different makes and models (Sony, Samsung, LG, etc...) that get decent search results and have good customer reviews (above 3 stars average, 4 is better).

2) I picked 5 different ones to start with and then I wrote a 500-700 word review for each. Set them up to drip feed over a period of time or write one at a time and post them to your blog on a regular basis.

3) I use 2-3 affiliate links per review, all text. I don't use any banners or widgets.

4) Of course, the last but most important step, seo.

As of right now, I'm ranked #1 on Google for my main keywords. They get 1,000 exact match searches a month. I'm getting other traffic from other keywords also.

I'm making sales every day on this site. I'm not getting rich, but I see what works now and I'm going to continue to scale this up.

Fre Youngs method is good, but it would be much more effective if you were to setup a facebook fanpage.

Don't use fanpages. They will go the way of the dodo bird in the serps in the not-too-distant future.

Do majority of the top amazon associate earner use opt in page? From my experience, affiliate marketing requires collecting of names and emails for follow up purposes, is this necessary amazon associate.

Amazon is great. I've been making money with Amazon for years. Just keep it simple seems to work well. Set up a blog, do real product reviews, backlink. I'm sure there are more sophisticated ways to do this, but that works for me.
