I'm Banned from Amazon Associates Program-Can Anyone Help?
I even don't know what is "automatically tagging Amazon sessions to your account". After searching for the term on the net, I realized it might means cookie stuffing, although I got no idea of what "cookie stuffing" is.
Then I wrote an email to them and asked them to re-review my site and let me know how can I reinstate my account.
After three days waiting, I received their reply today, and I was so astonished to read their reply:
"Hello again from the Associates Program.
I have reviewed your account and confirmed that you are tagging customer sessions without the user generating a click to Amazon.com. Additionally, we have recently became aware of the fact that you are linking to Amazon.com from a site(s) containing sexually explicit material. The Associates Program Operating Agreement states that sites which promote or contain sexually explicit materials aren't suitable to participate in the Associates Program.
As a result of these violations, the decision to close your Associates account and withhold fees is final, and you are no longer eligible to participate in the Associates Program. Any other accounts you may have or may open in the future will be closed and advertising fees withheld without notification.
Because this decision is final, further requests to review your account for reinstatement will not receive a response.
Best regards,
Gary - Associates Account Specialist"
My questions are:
1. what do they mean by "tagging customer sessions without the user generating a click to Amazon.com"? I could not recall that I ever did any that sort of thing.
2. They said I'm linking to Amazon.com from a site(s) containing sexually explicit material, but I didn't! I don't know how they can draw such a conclusion! Is it possible that some Hiker attached my site and wrote some codes there so that I was accused for the above actions?
3. I really think I'm totally innocent. They said they will not respond to my further inquiry. Shall I wrote them again or just call them directly? Will that help?
4. Can I open a new account with the same IP?
I'm really feel helpless at this point as I don't think I've done anything that violate the associate agreement. I just started being an affiliate of Amazon for four months, and I did put a great effort and time into it. The income from the associate account support me and my ten-months old son, and now I lost all earnings in the last two months. I really got no idea for what to do next. Can anyone here help?
