I remember seeing a post a while back that had a bunch of different plugins for encouraging comments.

However, after half-an-hour of searching, I can't find it.

So, time for a new list!

There's a thread I started that has to do with commenting and encouraging it through bribery (and you get the people on your autoresponder list too).

Might have some tidbits there you weren't already using.

If you want more people to comment on your blog, add in do-follow plugin.
By doing soon, people will be encourage to post comment on your blog because of the SEO benefit
