Hey there,

Is there any way to know who is using my RSS except examining the incoming links?

Tnx...

Yup, there is, add a 1x1 px image to it, and you can track it.

The pixel idea is one way. Another way is to grab a string of text from the feed and setup a Google alert.

Why are you bothered who is using your rss feed if you supply one?

Okay, you actually want to find who is republishing your feed, not simply "using it" which is a traffic and conversion question.

For this you want to inject a serial number into your feed and set up a google alert to look for that. there are a number of plugins that can do this.

Ultimately, though you are wasting time doing something like this that you could better spend on other activities. Just make sure your feed output is link rich and let it go where it will. Win/Win/Win.

Did you ever notice that “author” is the root of the word “authority“?

Wow... thanks alot guys for all the help.
The pixel and google alerts are great ideas, I will check which I will implement.

    Small clarification:
I hope autobloggers will use my feeds to their blogs(good backlinks+traffic for me), actually I want to know if my RSS are being used, which is another factor telling me Im doing things in the right way.

    Thanks again!

You can make your RSS script with PHP and update in a database everytime it is accessed.

Then use modrewrite in your .htaccess file so that the name of the RSS file stays the same for the external sites.
