I have been wondering this for some time but can't find the answer? Every time I go to g-mail I am just directed to my account and there is nowhere to sign up for another email box. I just read where it is possible to have 10 accounts. Does anyone know the facts about this and can tell me how to do it? thanks Norma |

Hi Norma, Did you delete your cookies? or sign out from your other account? I have 3 gmail accounts so I know it's not hard . Try deleting the cookies if signing out doesn't work.Linda |

hi Norma Yeah you need to be signed out of your current google account. Then go to mail.google.com and you will be able to create a new account. Regards Paul Smith |

Sounds simple enough. I never thought of the cookies but the computer is so geared up to Google that I thought it logs me in automatically. Thanks for all your help Norma |

Here's a neat trick for multiple gmail accounts - with all mail going to just the one account so you don't have to sign in and out of different accounts. Say your primary gmail address is johncarpenter@gmail.com You can create accounts on sites/blogs/forums using derivations of your primary gmail a/c. Your second a/c can be: j.ohncarpenter@gmail.com Your third: jo.hncarpenter@gmail.com Your fourth: joh.ncarpenter@gmail.com ecetera. The beauty of this is that all those different email addresses will lead to your primary email - no need to create multiple gmail accounts. Works like a charm. |

I have several accounts that forward to my main account. I also make sure to set up labels and filters so the process of sorting and identifying what's what is MUCH easier! Hey, Norma, when you're on your google mail page, if you look in the upper right hand corner, there is a link that says 'Sign out'. If you click that, it'll take you straight to the sign in/create new account page. The 'create new account' button is on the bottom right corner of the screen. Just click it, and you're ready to go! BTW, I love google for the convenience it gives me, but I'm never entirely trusting. I make a regular habit of downloading all my emails to my local hard drive just in case they get a wild hair and shut down my account for some reason. The thought of losing access to all that information makes me break out in hives! So my advice is to back up your inbox regularly JIC! Cindy |

You can even use wild stuff with your email accounts. Like: Shakul+1@gmail.com Shakul+2@gmail.com = Shakul@gmail.com Suppose, if you sign up at warrior forum, then you can use your email id as youremailid+warriorforum@gmail.com Shakul |

I use a method that's somewhat unconventional but it works pretty well. I have three email accounts through gmail. One opens in Firefox, one in a window for Internet Explorer and one opens in a Netscape Browser. I have the Netscape and IE browsers open to my gmail accounts and simply sitting idle on my taskbar. Since I use them for nothing else they don't use any CPU resources to speak of. I glance at them and when I receive an email there's a (1) next to the 'inbox'. I realize this is really lo-tech, but it works so I go with it. |

One other way to manage multiple GMail accounts (I have at least 2 dozen) is to use an e-mail client like Thunderbird. You can set it to point to as many GMail Inboxes as you want, and monitor them all simultaneously. Thunderbird - Reclaim your inbox You can also do this with Outlook if you prefer - Thunderbird has a built-in GMail connector that makes it slightly easier. Bill |
