I really like themeforest. It's by far my favorite. It cost about $8-$55 depending on what kind of template you want. Wordpress is a little more expensive.

I quite like the Poloray theme by inkthemes. They have a lawyer site demo.

A lot of the studiopress themes are suitable for law firms - agency, executive, corporate etc.

You might also want to have a look at the new theme by Jo Pixelcrafter WP Pro Consult (Not an affiliate link)

You could easily adapt it to the lawyers niche by buying some high quality lawyer images from iStock etc. and adding them to the slider and other areas.

IMHO, This WP theme is way ahead of virtually all other offline themes because it has taken on board requests and wishlists from hundreds of offline consultants who have bought and used Pixelcrafter's previous lead-gen themes.

The end result is very cool indeed

Sorry but there is no way the previous poster actually used the WP Pro Consult theme, proven by the fact they are actually recommending it. It's full of bugs, has no documentation and the vendor bailed on all support queries. Not cool at all.

Re a good theme, I would recommend U-Design on themeforest. It's super flexible and extremely powerful. I've built a few sites for law firms, I would stay away from stock images and actually drop into their office and take some good quality photos (black and white looks well on legal sites) of the partners and one of the building or practice location. a three or 4 slide carousel is all you need on the homepage with 3 or 4 columns x 2 rows explaining in 2 or 3 sentences each area of their practice (family law, criminal law, commercial litigation etc). Then just add a contact page, an About Us page, Legal Services (with more info - depending on the amount of content they provide you on each area of practice you may want a separate page each which is also good for SEO). Upload one of the many mobile site folders to FTP and all you need to include is:
Logo
Tap to call button
Expandable menu to various pages
Areas of Practice
Google Map

Dead simple - re U-Design, I would check up the developers forum, the support is excellent. You can also download a child theme to change the menu type. Almost any type of custmisation you can imagine is covered in there and spelled out for total newbies.

Great idea about the photos. Stock photos are so contrived looking I can never relate to the models. Real photos make the copy so much more believable and humanises the company.

As for Udesign if you're a gun designer use it but if your not be wary. True freedom comes with great responsibilty
This site freelancewp.com/wordpress-theme/u-design/randomly selects sites off the web that use a particular theme including udesign. This isn't your usual curated showcase. It shows designs by both amateurs and professionals

I looked at the front pages of about forty sites, that use u'-design, and they ranged from a few that were just okay but most were hideous. That tells me it is hard to create a really nice looking site with it if you lack design skills and possibly coding skills

It was also based on this site showcase I relaised I had wasted $50 on the onetouch theme. The demo site, for one touch, is beautiful looking but then I saw it's uncensored showcase......

It was also based on the site showcase I ended up using the karma theme. It is almost impossible to make an ugly site with it. Some themes are just naturally good looking.

BTW I don't know why but the site, I linked to, hides away the theme showcase It is still there it just isn't linked to on the public pages:confused: So if you want to look at a particular themes showcase, you have to use google to search the site.

EDIT: aren't most of the minimalist themes suitable for lawyer sites?
