Web Design Sales Funnel

Hi everyone,

Once we get the the prospects' attention, interest and desire for our web design packages, how are we following it up with them? How do we keep advancing the sale towards the close?

What I've found is that it's important for the web design funnel to make it easy for people to buy from you. This may sound obvious, but I think it's a point which gets overlooked.

What I do after I have got their desire to own a website is to do a free mock up design of site for free. This activates the law of reciprocity and obligation as well as commitment.

After I have sent thru the design regardless if the prospect replies to my email or not, I'll call them to get their general feedback on the site itself. The conversation then becomes focused on the technical details of the site itself, how many pages, what colours to use, social media integration.

After I get their feedback and implement the agreed changes I then ask for 50% of the sale upfront. Once the funds are cleared I then purchase the domain and usually do some form of bonus work for free such as outsourcing some articles and/or doing their facebook and social media pages. This is under the condition that the project will be fully paid within the next 5 days.

Then it just becomes a matter of managing the account.

No hard selling here, just managing the pipeline correctly and doing good quality work which motivates the prospect into action.

If anyone has any ideas especially around accelerating the pipeline I'd love to hear from you.
