Adsense account closed. Earnings lost

I've been using Google Adsense for a good few years and have made quite decent income from it.

But a month ago I got an email from the Adsense team saying they had closed my account and refunded the advertisers due to.. 'The possibility of fraudulent clicking on the ads on my websites'. Or similar words.

My account was up to $80 so not a huge amount, but still rising daily.

Is it possible to open a new Adsense account using my name and address, or am I banned for life?

I realise I would need another website to feature their ads on, but I have a couple lined up which have never had Adsense ads, and plan to use one of those.

Any help and advise will be appreciated.

First of all, you weren't making a "decent income". You were making gas money.

You won't be able to use your name anymore. If someone else lives there, they could open an account, but basically, you need a new ssn to open a new account.

Hi Josh. I was making a pretty good income from Adsense. The $80 figure was what my account was up to at the time of the ban. I was making a lot more than $80 per month.

Thanks for the advice regarding the possibility of someone else opening the account, but would Google catch on to the fact that the websites are registered to me and refuse the ads?

        Banned
Once they ban you, I doubt anyones Adsense will work on the sites that had your old Adsense Ads on them, when you were banned.

Contacting google in instances like these is futile.

Google does not give a rat's hat who owns a site. I have
no idea why people think google is some crazed know
all monster who gets into peons daily lives. We are
not that important. They have better things to do.

If the site was the problem, then the site still is the
problem. Ownership does not matter. How do you
think google somehow knows who owns a site? If you
think they spend time doing searches on whois, get real.

Nobody would touch the sites if they knew you were banned.

But your other sites....how on earth does google know who
owns them? The sheer task of trying to keep track of billions
of website's ownership data would be one stupid endeavor.
And there's this little thing about private settings.

They can track your adsense code. But seriously. Why would
google care to know that Joe Shmo in Hoboken, NJ owns a
website? And then track him? The whole thing is ridiculous.

Besides, whois and others do not allow mass checkings.
Google (and others) would run into serious problems and
complications if they tried to keep track of ownership.
The whole myth falls apart when smashed by reality.

Google can check on a case by case basis if needed. But the
only times I know of when they check is when signing up for
their programs that you submit a site to.

Just like they to with the google adsense program
requiring certain people in certain countries to own their own
websites. That's a safeguard measure brought on by fools in
some countries committing massive fraud on google adsense.
Once approved, you don't have to submit every site.

I'm sure they do some type of check for maps/local as well.
Maybe. But again, this is very different than doing something that
would require tons of employees and dollars to get and maintain the
data on websites in general. Too expensive and too many ways to
beat it. Google has better things to do with their time and money.

I think the WF should just set up a separate place for people
          who lost their adsense accounts.

I've echoed the nonsense about the whois approach by Google many times. It's ludicrous to think they would be sitting there doing whois searches for individual site owners.

A separate forum is a great idea...

I'm up to $40 dollars so far today... and been playing video games. I've never submitted a backlink anywhere in my life and wouldn't know the first place for article submission but I suspect I'll be at $80 by the end of the day.

You keep workin' for your money though.. My Daddy taught me to work smarter not harder.

And my Momma taught me how to read. Notice the issue was found out and it was the xfactor template. I don't think I've ever seen a single thread anywhere saying "My AdSense got canned for autoblogging". Why? Doesn't happen.

"but seeing what my neighbor just went through is enough to convince me that Google is going to keep looking for autoblogs and start slapping them all down."

XFactor templates you say.. okay. As you say, Google would never be bothered to look at whois data but they will compare templates across a load of sites.. Interesting.

All you got to do is keep reading, Stevie. That was my original reaction and I thought maybe Panda was actually going after auto-bloggers (I knew they hadn't before but heard they were now) but it turned out to not be the case... again. In fact.. the thread gives verifiable evidence that they aren't going after autoblogs. I go on to say that they ultimately canned 4 of my autoblogs.. and only the ones I originally built using the xfactor template. Any logical functioning brain can ascertain from that that since deindexing takes place by the team at Webmaster Tools, they were simply using the tools at their disposal (Webmaster Tools) to look at all my blogs. They had to go through them all to only can 4 out of many. They were all autoblogs and they left all the rest alone. Hello... earth to Stevie.. did you catch that???!

Dude.. you crack me up. You only hear what you want to hear.

Best of all is your hypocrisy. You argued for a week on a different thread about the way autobloggers were trashing up the web and after TZ was able to change your mind, you admitted you were a hypocrite and you bought his system! You didn't like it so you jumped back on the other side of the fence!

Shouldn't you be busy backlinking or something?

So it's the pandas fault now.. I knew I couldn't trust them with their big fluffy paws and sad faces.

I was wrong about autoblogs trashing up the web, I apologise for that.. They don't stick around long enough for that to happen.

Did I really say I was a hyprocrite? Shame on me for that, I was just wondering what all the fuss was about with that script so I bought it and now I reserve my opinion on it. It is a fault of mine because I like testing things myself rather than just make stuff up.

I must stop baiting you Josh, it is far to easy to get you biting. You are absolutely right though, I have got a list of jobs to do that I need to be getting on with. Adios!

All the defending yourself aside (yes you admitted your hypocrisy), I just think it's funny that you hijack every thread with autoblogging in it and start blasting it .. and I honestly feel there's a bit of jealousy in there or you wouldn't do that every time. I could easily attack your system for which I've heard negative things.. but never do. Why? To each his own. If it works for you great.. but you really have a problem with the easy success of others and I think it's because you're working hella' hard to make your money. For that, I say great and it's respectable and good for you.. but you have to get over the constant barrage of insults when it comes to autoblogging and those who have found a far easier and smarter system than you employ to make money online.

Bottom line: I have a system that will have me making $1500 - $2000 a month this next month and more every month that follows with no backlinking or article submitting or anything. I build 10 minute sites. Done. I've achieved all of this is less than 9 months.

You've hassled me several times about not having a "legitimate" ongoing system for creating money. Do you realize (and I know you do from our previous conversations) that I built my entire system and it's entirely in php/mysql? As just one example for an alternative means of money, I could sell sites until the end of time on flippa. Do you realize that's all wprobot3 and all these auto sites are is original code created and sold? My online future is incredibly bright.. in whichever way I go. I can't even begin to tell you all I've learned by achieving this amount of success in such a short time. Even if it all went away today, that knowledge in invaluable. For now, we both use AdSense and your business runs the exact same risk as mine of going away.

Apples to apples.. my sites will outperform yours every time and I can generate money faster than any site you put out with no extra outsourcing or investment in it. If your only objection to that is that my sites "might" be shut down someday... well, guess what buddy? We both "might" die tomorrow.

While your at it why don't you add an autoblogging haters forum too...I'm sure you could be a mod there Steve. You could make sure that every thread had at least one hater comment regardless of the topic, heck you could even start autoblogging threads just so you could go on it and post your typical hater comments....

Seriously Steve...you need to find another hobby and back away from the autoblog threads.

You said to me on a thread recently that you wondered why I (and now it seems others) get defensive when you posted in autoblogging threads...

It's become quite obvious that you are now officially one of the haters here on the WF. I get the feeling you start every morning out with a cup of coffee and a forum search for autoblogging related threads just so you can go in and post your usual crap. Seriously man, you need to redirect your energies elsewhere. You've made your feelings about autoblogging known now, we dont need to see your same hater BS posts in every autoblgging related thread...enough is enough already!

How about a separate forum for your utterly pointless bickering. What does anything you guys are saying have to do with this:

Why bother with a new account?

If you got banned once, it's only a matter of time before you get banned again.

Find another way to monetize your sites, it's time to move on.

You created a new post to cry about people who are "bickering"?

I'll take "How dumb can people be?" for $500, Alex.

I'm not so sure they have to be some crazed know all monster to know who owns a site and I know you are refering to Google here but since I've not been high on the google radar I can't say for certain google does it but I know 100% positively for certain at times Bing/Yahoo does currently and have for quite sometime look at whois information on folks who park their names at a parking company with a bing/yahoo feed and earn large incomes and or get a bad TQ score.

I know I'm new here at this forum but you can take it for what it is or believe what you will. The fact is often times when they ban accounts, have poor TQ or high payouts they do care.

Thanks for the advice regarding the possibility of someone else opening the account, but would Google catch on to the fact that the websites are registered to me and refuse the ads?
        Gotcha. .

Sounds like it might be time to slap some prosperent ads on your site(s). After all.. it sounds like the traffic is there and you're not de-indexed. Take advantage. There's many tales of others actually making considerably more with prosperent, since they're cookies stay. It's not p/ click, but p/ purchase. No experience with them myself, but sounds like a good time for you to test it out..

The best thing to do is to open a ticket with them about your current account - if they find out your new account is linked to your old account, it'll be banned too.

You may have been a victim of click bombing (where people click your adverts quite a few times, often maliciously.)

If you had channels or analytics set up, did you see any specific page or part of the site that grew in clicks or earnings quite suddenly?

Also, check your allowed sites in the account (if you can still access it) and make sure you were only allowing specific sites that you set up - if not, anyone could have used your publisher ID. I know of one person who had her entire article and adverts copied by a scraper/spammer and lost her account over it. Luckily she got it back but it took a lot of time to prove she had no relation to the spam site.

I'll take the auto-blogging option please.

Joking aside, any good php developer will never have to worry about depending on AdSense income. I have at least 30 completely different sites online that I've built from scratch. One idea just leads to another and it tends to have the snowball effect.

I also use auto-blogs and do quite well with them. I've had them for many years and have never had a problem.

Google bans on name not IP so if you really want to open a new account at adsense you should use a family member name or a friend of yours.

    I know how you feel,
I had my adsense account for a while didnt earn much though. I set up a blogger account and got a decent amount of traffic. Then I thought of adding my adsense to it. After few weeks I was getting some $$, then suddenly the traffic seems to increase pretty high. The clicks were over the fence. I was like WOW!
then realized some kid in china does it coz all the traffic source were from china.
I didnt want to lose my account just because of a blog, so I renamed the blog. The traffic stopped. When I was about to get paid, google banned my account. I was pretty pissed off but couldn't do any thing coz it was my fault that I should have blocked the ip of that dumb Chinese guy (which I didnt know how to do).

It is true that lots of webmasters are earning good money with Google Adsense, you can also earn if you follow their terms and condition.

Go through the appeals process. It may take up to a month before they reinstate you (if they decide to do so). Of course, if you have TOS violations on your site(s), fix them up before you appeal.

If your site(s) are OK, they'll reinstate you.

You can apply for another adsense ID by making a little spelling change in your name (vovels) and address. Or try to get by the name of some other family member and operate it. I hope you will try again using this method.
