A salesletter usually sells "harder". It's not a simple thing to
explain writing styles. You'll have to work on comprehending
these factors yourself by reading salescopy and books about
writing....

Pre-sell would be more like a review or recommendation
with a "close" like "check it out", then redirecting to
the hard-sell salesletter.

It's all copywriting. It's all asking a reader to do...
