I would suggest to have at least one sample on your site. If someone new visits your site it is good for them to see a sample of your work before committing to hiring you for the job.

That's up to you, a buy now button is good, but the only problem I find is as a writer sometimes you get quite busy and don't have the time to take on new clients and with a buy now button you can...
