Yeah why would you cloak links, unless it's for tracking purposes there is not a single reason why you should do it.

Cloaking affiliate links is also seen as a malpractice so could be one of the reasons as well. Besides that I wouldn't use a fixed amount of affiliate links on each page. Mix it up and throw up...

Deindexed sites always show up as PR n/a, maybe Firefox needs some time to update it.
