[Solved] Teespring Average Profit per T-shirt?

What is the average profit margin you guys set up for ordinary T-shirts? I am setting up the goal as 10 and profiting $6 with a price of $18... Is this about normal?

Depends on your goal. Set the goal higher and your profit margins go up. I personally aim for $10+

I shoot for at least $10 profit per shirt and $16 to $20 per sweatshirt sold. Don't sell yourself short or you'll have a tough time turning a profit with paid advertising.

      I agree with the above.

Ideally you want to shoot for a base profit of 10 or higher for shirts.

If you have a two tone shirt and sell it for 19.95, you're going to be getting roughly 11 bucks per shirt at a campaign goal of 75.

I think you're leaving a lot of money on the table with a hoodie at $20.

I sell my hoodies at a minimum starting point of $34.95 and I usually maintain a 2:1 ratio of shirts to hoodies.

At least $10-20, anything less just isn't worth it to me IMO.

Depends on the country you target I guess. I think the best is to just aim at a low average price when you first go into a niche, just to avoid making less sales because of the price that is too high and making wrong deductions about the niche potential itself.

On the subject of t-shirts - I have a fairly large automotive forum that I could use to market to. Anyone have advice on designing automotive related t-shirts - I've always been afraid of copyright issues. What is the general consensus on automotive enthusiast designs? Do you stay away from anything having to do with a likeness of a particular vehicle in the design?
