Can I track my keywords or url that for a CPA offer in MaxBounty without setting up tracking software like prosper202 or CPVlab? I'm just curious. Thank you for all of your replies.

    Yes you can.
Their help file explains it here MaxBounty - Highest Paying CPA Campaigns

The problem is that if you start buying traffic from multiple sources, you will have issues tracking all your campaigns' performances.
software such as cpvlab, prosper (self hosted) or trackingdesk (for hosted) enable you to run your campaigns in a more professional way.

    Yeah.
Just use the subids to pass the dynamic tokens from the traffic source.

You can do this with most networks but it's not a good idea. Do you really want to give away all your money making secrets away for nothing? There are also things that you cannot track with networks such as day parting, etc.

You most definitely can track without the use of 3rd party software. You can put the traffic source's pixel in our built in advanced tracking. You can also use Sub ID's but keywords won't be passed back only the sources.

Tracking software can be very useful but is also an investment. It's best to gauge where you're at as an affiliate and decide whether or not you need it right now. If you're starting to rake in some substantial conversions and think you can afford it, something like CPVLab or Prosper might be beneficial. If not, then MaxBounty's in house tracking will probably provide you with what you'll need.

    Cheers!

  • As most people have said. It makes a lot of sense to use tracking software over plain affiliate links. You give up a lot of flexibility by not using some sort of tracking software.

The only real advantage of not using a tracking link is that you have one less redirect to deal with for direct linking. But in 99.9999% of cases the insight and data you get using a tracking platform like Prosper202 and others, and the ability to easily optimize campaigns will far outweigh that small benefit.

There are lots of options out there for tracking, so shop around.

If you need a 100% free self-hosted solution that's trusted, highly recommended and that's easy to install, I'd invite you to check out Prosper202.

It's used by thousands of affiliates, so there are tons of tutorials on youtube and our site.

We are now directly integrated with softaculous so installation is also a breeze.

Most of the time what I have noticed is that the custom ad tracking provided by these CPA networks does not seem to match the stats with the tracking platform we tend to use. But, it's always better to use two or even more tracking platform to analyze your campaign performance.

I agree with AravGupta. Having done CPA Marketing for quite some time, I think it is only wise to add an additional layer to verify the traffic and conversion.

Well it is not to say that MaxBounty is reflecting inaccurate statistics, but it's just like buying insurance. You want to protect the amount you're putting into paid advertising.

Prosper202 is no doubt a popular option that is free. I used it previously, and it did a decent enough job. Only issue I had with it was the interface, and there were always discrepancies in the numbers when compared to PeerFly's. It's been months since I last used Prosper202, so this isn't an accurate claim now.

I'm heavily involved in internet marketing - solo ads, clickbanking & cpa marketing. I'm currently using ClickMeter to shorten and track the links for unique clicks & conversions. I started off with a free account that allows the tracking of 1,000 events per month. It should be decent enough for anyone who just got started.

Alternatively, ClickMagick has great reviews as well.

    Hope this helps!

No Software can in its good mind tell you that there wont ever be discrepancies. The internet is unfortunately never 100% reliable. Clearly, having your peers recommend certain software over others, will help in making up your mind.

Yes it does, and so do many other networks. However, people still prefer using tracking tools like prosper202.
