Facebook ads slowed down a lot

I'm kind of new to Facebook advertising.. I started it out in December. I have since then had some ads running to get clicks for my e-commerce site.

I feel that the facebook ads give me more than adwords (which I don't seem to get any conversions from). My products are not very known, and are more about the way they look. So photos on facebook works good I feel. I don't know how to create the best ads though....

In the beginning of February I started two new ads with products that seemed to be very popular. They were Star Wars-related products, so they were easier to target than my other products. So I targeted people who likes Star Wars, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and such. I had it so the ads were for conversions (not clicks).

They went crazy with the organic reach as people commented, shared, tagged people and such. People bought a lot of the products. I had to pause it as they went out of stock. Then when they got back in stock I activated the ads again and they still worked okay.

But after a week or so they declined a lot. The reach is very low now from nowhere. I have tried changing the settings, but nothing makes it better again. I even tried creating seperate ads for the products - but nothing.

I feel very lost. :/ Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

How long has the slowdown been going on? I have experienced a day or two of slower impressions in my own campaigns before. Sometimes they're doing updates on their backend and it slows things quite a bit.

Instead of pausing the campaigns completely, try lowering the daily budget to $1 or $5 instead. Sometimes pausing and restarting mucks something up with their alogrithm.
