Weird Message From Traffic Vance
Hey guys
Im seeing this message keep coming on to my TV control panel
"To properly track ad serving for your Trafficvance Campaigns and Creatives, we need to temporarily access the window.name parameter on your landing page upon serving. This allows us to brand your advertisements.
You are currently either using this parameter for some other purpose, using a JavaScript variable defined as "name", or your landing page is secured via SSL (i.e. HTTPS). Any of these will render us unable to brand your ads appropriately.
As of Monday, June 23rd, 2014, it will be mandatory that this variable be available to us from all advertisers, or your creative(s) will be rejected. Please rename any variable that uses the "name" nomenclature in your website's code and scripts.
If your page is using HTTPS, but you do not use any JavaScript variables defined as "name", nor use the window.name parameter, NO ACTION is required. There will be an internal fix rolled out for these instances.
This change is to ensure compliance with new regulations established by Microsoft's Ad-Supported Software Guidelines. For more information, please click here.
Please make, or have your developer make, any necessary changes to your landing pages as soon as possible and confirm with your Sales Representative or Account Manager once done."
What does this mean?? My campaigns seem to be getting approved ok
Seems to suggest they want you to track all your campaigns with TV's tracking software? Seems very sketchy to me... that would be like giving your wholesaler a list of which of your customers buy most from you.
I only see this when I log into the old control panel. The new one https://new.trafficvance.com doesnt even open for me I just see a loading symbol. Anyone else getting any of this
