I got a question on cpm

basicallty for every 1000 impressions.

Lets say today user A came in, so the impressions is now 1.

If user A close the page, then he open again, close, open again, for 1000 times.

Does it count? I mean it base on ip/day? unique ip view/months or?

Thanks

    Yes it does count.
Most networks have an option of setting a frequency cap so you can set how many times you want your ad to be viewed per unique ip/user agent

Yes, but this can vary network by network - some might only only credit views at certain frequencies (eg. There might be caps in place to prevent abuse)

It depends on the advertising company, many companies count returing visitors, because if they don't, they will find few new visitors each day on your page. And new visitors always less than returing visitors... But you don't have to do this because some companies counts IPs...

No one in the industry is counting IPs, definitely not for this purpose.

For the thread author: Impression will stand for each the AD code is loaded without any condition of it visibility and or its position not the frequency or the recency. There are specific niche ad-serving system that will not charge their client if the AD didn't had at least 30% visibility (by measuring screen size and code location in the page).

For all the rest: Frequency is measured only on people with enabled cookies by storing you AD unique id in the cookie value with the current timestamp and conditions. If no frequency condition were set in the campaign details the only factor that ad-serving system will might consider will be the recency.

Yep every VIEW counts (unique visitor, by IP) generally speaking

Are you looking to BUY cpm traffic or get paid via cpm? Whenever I tried to buy CPM as a traffic source for my ads it was actually pretty difficult in getting a good conversion rate ... so as I had to pay for views (not clicks) it made it quite a complex structure in crunching profitability numbers, hence why I prefer CPC whenever I can.

    Hope that helps

Yes, It will count. But you won't be able to make good amount of money by only impression. Now most of the Ad networks does not pay much only for impression. If your traffic will click on adds, then it will help you to increase your earning.
