You can definitely use blog, use content locking offers, gate some of the best content after giving them bait, also use pop ups on your blog.. don't just rely on same old banners..

It all depends on your traffic type - if you receive a lot of organic traffic I would just slap some easy to convert CPA offers into your sidebars, in the header and also in the footer of your site as the traffic doesn't cost you anything so you kind of get a free lunch with these CPA commissions. Maybe also look at Adsense as well.

Maybe use some of the smaller type of ads within your text as well as any SEO traffic from a blog will work quite well

  I used to run a bunch of blogs with decent traffic. I was never able to get CPA offers to convert all that well. In the end Adsense was more reliable.
