AdSense accross countries

Hi all

So I have a little bit of a silly question, I guess. In my country AdSense doesn't pay a lot per click. I have a cooking website that gets roughly 2,8 cents per click which is worthless, but I am thinking about getting into the international market.

I believe most keywords for American users should pay WAY above 2,8 cents per click, but will they pay higher even if I am not from America? Will they pay as if they were from Portugal (my country) ?

    Speculating CPC for Adsense in different country is a typical work. The CPC depends on the bid that Advertisers are made with keywords. However Targeting International users will certainly increase your earning.

    As long as your traffic is from Tier 1 countries (US/Canada/UK/etc), you're fine.

    Don't focus on the geography of your site

    you need to do keyword research before posting any content to your website. When you add targeted content s then you'll have targeted visits from your focused countries. This way you might have increase in CPC.
