Ads for eCommerce website

Hi everyone,
I have eCommerce website offering the popular hoverboards (self-balancing boards). The website is quite new, only 2 months, but I have a problem driving traffic and making sales.
I want to ask for advice about what is the best type of ads for my website.
Appreciate every help I can get,
Thanks

Can you please rephrase the question? You want to know what ads to place on other sites in order to direct traffic to yours? Did I understand it correctly?

I am a developer and I have experience in developing these websites, but I don't have a clue when it comes to promotion and frankly to say I don't have idea what to do.
My question was, what is the best way to start advertising this website and attracting customers?
    Thanks

since your website is new, i can understand that i doesn't get much traffic. Since your niche is good i believe you should promote your website on social networks rather that using any ad network. On social networks you will get the best potential customers as well as regular visitors for your website.

I would recommend to use Udimi website . It has a lot high quality solo ad sellers and they can drive quality traffic to your website.

I like the look of your site. You may want to try using PPC ads and use buyer specific keywords related to your product line. You may also want to consider putting a portion of your inventory on Amazon using the FBA business model.

Thanks for your answers, really appreciated.

@Kojo25 I tried searching Udimi before, but found out that most of the sellers provide traffic for "make money online", internet marketing, weight loss or finance niches. I also found some facebook groups offering testimonials and ads, but I don't know reliable/good quality they are.

@DWaters I researched the keywords yesterday using the Google Keyword tool and I plan to start a campaign using Google and maybe Facebook.
I never considered selling on Amazon, but it might be a good idea. Amazon banned all the sellers with the low quality hoverboards that were catching fire recently, so this might be a good chance now, as all our products are premium quality certified products that use Samsung batteries only.

I am a member of some of the facebook groups, but never posted as there are too many individuals there that sell cheap chinese copies of the scooters and I can't compete with the prices they offer. Our product prices are higher, but the quality is far better.

As for Amazon, do I need to ship my products to Amazon to be able to sell there? How that works?

    Thanks for all the advices

I knew Webmastersun.com but never heard of Clickz.com before, may be I will give it a go.
Ads on Socialmediatoday and Venturebeat are very expensive. My friends bought from them, price around $400 to $500 for a post on their site.

Does any one have any other recommendations for ads for eCommerce websites?

I started with Google Adwords, but not much results, I mean there are clicks, but no conversions. I had some sales from the facebook fans, though.

@DustinInTheWind Thanks, I will look into that. I started promoting with Facebook yesterday, so I will see how that goes.

    @kazinazmul12 Why?

@carolinnah I am writing more content and will continue to do that, thanks for your ideas

Google Adword need big investment to have good results

Facebook is only for increasing Likes, it don't have more valuable to increase traffic for your site. I would suggest you create more great content and advertising on related site for better conversions.

Best type of Ads for ecommerce sites is POP traffic for visibility.

Also Dynamic retargeting is more appropriate for e-commerce advertiser since it can push product recommendation based on their users navigation

I have never heard of pop traffic that will work with ecommerce.

Adwords can be a good choice for ecommerce.

    Hello newpain01
We would recommend to try a keyword campaign.
In most cases a campaign with "exact match keywords" will bring you the best results.

    Have a good day!

@truebluesf This is very helpful, Thank You.
We started getting more sales through the advertisements (running Facebook and Google ads currently), but want to improve the conversions. Facebook seems to work better, though. I have ads on FB pointing to the website and the users are more interactive (Google seems to be wasting money and not much effect)

The issue with the traffic is clear, the website is new and has not been indexed, you are competing with other big players and it takes time, be patient. I would look into some other stuff as well, first of all create a Youtube channel and post interesting videos of things with Hoverboards (although I believe this is not a good name for it).
Search the best keywords and make sure you have optimised your website for them.
Have specific blog/news posts about it so regular updates to the website.
Submit your website to search engines as well.
    Don;t forget social media.
Also this requires a lot of time and effort, so if you have a job and want to do this on the side, you need to limit some other luxuries in your life and my man good luck.
Never give up and go through.

@Mehidib, Thank you for your words, really appreciate. I submitted the site to Google and Bing and thought about Youtube channel, but I don't have any videos with the product. I am working on SEO and trying to optimise the site as much as I can and I am also trying to write new blog posts in my free time. You are right, it takes a lot of time and effort and I do have a full time job, so just trying to squeeze as much time as possible to work on this.
    Thanks a lot. Cheers
