AdWords minimum budget $800 - Should or shouldn't?

Hi guys,

Here is my story.I have an opportunity that I was dreaming of since I start with IM - to build Wordpress page and to start with Affiliate marketing.
The page would have some Lead form from advertiser - every lead will be paid around £33.00 what equals $45. UK Finance (Life Insurance) leads are what I need to target.
However, the "dreamed situation" is much more difficult when comes to reality - budget is big and I am not so experienced in AdWords - also afraid of committing almost my whole bankroll without some fails in the past..However, I was promised with some mentorship, but again, it's my money - means huge risk.

Hey Boban, with any paid traffic source there's always going to be a level of risk attached.

With that being said, AdWords is one of the more expensive advertising options but there are still a lot of marketers who turn a profit with it.

My advice to you if you're going to do AdWords (or any paid traffic) is this:

    - Make sure you at least have a solid idea of how it works before you start.

    - Be prepared to lose some money at first as you try to find a winning campaign for your offer; this is quite normal in the paid traffic game.

    - Do NOT immediately quit if you commit to it, as you will eventually learn from your mistakes.

Paid traffic can be tricky but there's a reason so many top marketers swear by it; I wish you the best in your endeavors.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Even better idea, take your offer and sell it one to one, its free. Find facebook groups related to your niche and pitch the members....

The financial niche is quite an expensive niche for PPC. This is particularly so now that Google has got rid of the sidebar Ads. You could find yourself paying 2-4 GBP per click. I would advise you to start gently and concentrate on long tailed keywords. There are very successful affiliates promoting financial products from the UK but they are highly experienced.

As others have said this is a very competitive niche. As a former life insurance agent and a SEO that has done ranking work for agents I can tell you there's a lot of money being made. Agents get paid commissions of the entire annual premium of the first year and a good enough percentage of the second year. each sale stands to be a thousand dollars or more so they don't go cheap on bidding on adwords.

I would do a mix of SEO and PPC ( PPC only on less competitive terms in the niche). You could lose all of that money in the matter of a week if you don't know adwords very well. SEO allows you to learn the ropes and get a sense of what terms are more competitive (although they are not the same the really competitive terms in adsense in this niche tend also are competitive in SEO)

Why not try other products??? Theres a few to choose from and some are a LOT cheaper to convert. Once you get the hang of those, then go into Life Insurance. I running 5 products now and all can turn a profit if your mentored and helped in the correct way.

    Good luck

    Honestly.
I would try something else before adwords. They are really good but they are also very strict and unforgiving, one small mistake and they will shut you out.

I'd start with something like Bing or Facebook Ads IMO.
