The April 1st Adsense Drop

Hi,

Exactly on April 1st my Adsense CPC rates dropped by 50%.
I have a 5 website and combined server about a 100k ad impressions per day. No changes have been made to any of the websites recently and the traffic quality has not changed.
CTR rates also remain the same.
Is anyone on here experiencing the same thing? or has experienced the something similar in the past?

I did a bit of googling and found quite a few people in previous years report similar issues on April 1st but I couldn't find a specific cause or a verdict if this drop was permanent or their rates bounced back. If anyone could shed some light of this I would be very grateful.

    I would give a week before you start freaking out, but how long have you been running Adsense on these sites?

      The oldest website has been using Adsense for over 5 years and the newest one I added Adsense about 6 month ago.

        I'm curious the older site which over 5 years how much per day you get?

        and the one about 6 month?

        I just want to check is it normal too...

        for me ...in fact my domain already 2 years just that I revamp whole site last dec....

        so I treat it as " just 5 months " so far each day roughly 1 dollar...highest 2 buck..

        with 3k page view and 8000++ impression ..
        hmm I don't know is it due to my niche as it is health and fitness ( which is very competitiive )

    I get about the same RPM on both sites. Before April 1st it was about $2 RPM (Pageview), but now it is about $0.80 RPM.

    The sites are in the Dating Niche.

      Dating niche should be " Ok " although also is consider a competitive niche...

      I think hard to control....

      as What RPM ...CPC ..whatever all depend each day the adversities , google how they play around..

      we just get traffic ...more the better and for clicks...

      Ad placement as long is already optimise....nothing I can think of to improve it as I have mention RPM etc all vary each day depend google....

      I also doing Adsense....
