Getting 9 cents a click with AdSense - is this normal now?

Hi guys,

Is anyone still doing good numbers with AdSense? I'm currently getting around 9 cents a click and I used to get double this, or maybe even more.

Do you have any recommendations for other ad networks? I'm using media.net too but they seem even worse than AdSense for me.

Obviously, the niche you're in plays a part - I'm in the sports niche...

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Adsense earnings mainly depends on the source of traffic which you are getting clicks from. It may have happen that previously you were getting clicks from high tier countries and now you are getting clicks from medium or low tier countries.

    I not sure for mine....

    I also into sport but is more into fitness

    every day

    just 1 dollars + earning or low day about 70 cent


    daily page view 3k+++ impression about 8K to 10K

    I feel for me is traffic still need to be improve...

    Thanks for the replies, guys. Almost all of my traffic is from the USA, and today my CTR has gone up yet my CPC has gone down!

    Adsense is a funny game.
    I had a site in a finance related niche with 10k pageviews a month making about $100.
    I felt that it was a good return and put more effort into the site.
    I then hit 20k pageviews. Clicks just about doubled, but earnings remained at $100.
    So I intensified content creation and finally hit 40k pageviews.
    Clicks just about doubled again. But guess what?
    Earnings still hovered at around $100...

    The advertisers must be laughing at how little they are paying for our traffic.

      indeed is funny...
      like today suddenly I got the lowest earnings ...after many days of earning range from 70 cent to usually 1 dollar mark ++

      today just 49 cent...

      I was curious you increase the contents?

      for an example every time you post just 5 contents per day

      than you increase to 10 per day?

      is it what you mean ?

        It started with 1 article a week.
        Eventually to 5 articles a week.
        That is more than enough.
        Because it's a very specific topic, I'm able to rank for a big range of broad searches.
        The drawback is that because it's a narrow niche, there is a ceiling to the potential of the site.
        And adsense has presumably decided that the earnings ceiling is $100 a month.

    I don't think other networks will work for you when you have a limited audience niche.
    But you should try Adsense alternatives.Some content marketing platforms like Taboola will be good for you but they don't approve you as publisher if you have less amount of traffic.
