Google Adwords account Cancelled

HI Guys,

I just cancelled my Google adwords account and
I did not receive any email for confirmation...?
My account balance still shows $579.

How do I verify that google cancelled the account?
Does it usually take more hours before the account balance
is completely cancelled from your account?
Because I want my money back... soonest.

(google help/support/chat etc not available)
