Small Business Owner searching!

What I am trying to determine is what's going to be the most effective way to get my companies name out there and bring in new clients. Yes as we all are! I currently have a website and about 20 landing pages. (not generating any real organic traffic). The creative is great and we do get some traffic from our blog and cpc campaigns but not life changing and very expensive in regards to cpc.
What my company does is help people with all of their debt related issues (debt settlement, debt management, and debt restructuring). I know (there are many of us) so dont crush me with you comments! I also know this space is very expensive (can you say adwords). For the last year and a half I have been buying leads, running an adwords campaign, using a predictive dialer anything I can to reach out to people!
My telemarketing side is doing well but I know we are missing something. I mean how long people sit on a dialer and wait for calls (cold calls). We were using internet leads but the quality is very poor and the price very high. At this point I am looking to try something new. Would really like to create some branding for my company but also would be interested in a revenue sharing situation. I have been doing a litttle research on CPA, however still not fully understanding how it works. Do you guys think this is something that would make sense for my company, based on the little information I have provided? If so how do I get out there and connect? What does it typically cost? I do have someone working on my SEO, SEM, and SMM campaings but I realize this takes time. If anyone has some advice it would greatly appreciated.

    Sounds to me like what you need to do is build back links for your site(s). I would determine what the best long hanging fruit are in the way of key words for your niche. Find as many forums as you can that you can answer questions and leave your link as part of your signature or something.

    The niche you are in is pretty competitive, so ending up on the first page will take quite a while, if you can do it. That will depend on what key words you go after probably.

    I have no idea what you know about back linking, so if you don't know much about it, learn as much as you can. You should be able to generate some traffic to your site directly from the links you leave, and hopefully you can get enough links to raise your standing in the search engine list. Be careful not to spam the forums. You might want to leave a few posts prior to adding your link, and or then only leave one or two max. If you go in there and start blasting your url all over the place, you will get your account deleted promptly.

    Go to Google's keyword tool and find the best key words for your niche that has enough searches in exact match to justify the effort. With low enough competition that you can get your site to a prominent position on the search results. I can't give you a lesson in back linking and key word research as I don't know enough about it and I don't have enough space and time. You should be able to find the information here or online, and if you can't, ASK.

      Thank you and I trully do appreciate the feedback. Any other information would be greatly appreciated. I will set up something with google in regards to local ads. For some reason I remember doing that and never getting the confirmation call but will try again.
