I have done everything in house. It is a bit more work then jsut outsourcing but ive tried a handful of autoposters and they seem to only work successfully for a little bit and then craigslist catches up with the software. And my ads werent sticking at all with the posters.

craigslist gets trickier and trickier by the day and people are more and more conscious of cl advertising

I was wondering if anyone could share one their methods for generating leads on craigslist. I belong to several cpa networks but have never been effective using craigslist. Somethings I was wondering:

      - What kind of offers are you promoting like email/zip submits, free trial rebills....

      - Do you collect e-mails and then market the offer or post a link directly on your posting?

      - Do you create landing pages to get around TOS that are on a lot of campaigns?

      Thanks!

Personally I collect emails from a catagory and then email them all via BCC and make my offer and include a link. Most of hte time (depending on the offer) i don't even use a landing page. Yes, this is a slow process, but it can and does work depending on how creative you are with your offer.

          Thanks asap,
That's pretty much what I have been doing. Just need to be a little more patient I guess.

I am looking at a piece of software that takes the masking email that craigslist generates and from that generates dozens of other masked emails that would also be valid. The only problem I see is that I want advertisers from specific categories and this would not allow for that.

Are you targeting any specific categories?

It's Blind CC. A way of adding multiple people on an email without having all of the recipiants seeing that info.

Yes craigslist is about creativity. Users are getting smarter and wont give an advertisement a second look if its thrown in their face. What I do is always try and find a way to get people asking you for the offer or for more information and then you can show them a landing page and offer. This converts like crazy compared to just throwing an ad in their face and hoping they will fill it out.

Be advised that some networks and some affiliate managers hate cl and will deny commissions if they find out. I would ask before you start sendign massive cl traffic to them.

I am using an outsourcer at the mpo from getafreelancer- will let you know how i get on.

just a word of warning harvesting emails etc from cl.

You need to mix up the networks you use for offers as the company offering the product will contact your cpa network and close down offers or your account if you send loads of duff leads. What i mean by duff leads is leads that do not convert ie zips for under 25year olds very rarely convert into money for the merchant.

Yes, thats why many networks hate craigslist for most of their offers, because they convert like doo doo on the back end. Be smart, and always be thinking that you are trying to get the advretiser good leads, its not just getting your commissions from the cpa networks, think about the larger picture and you should be good.

    best of luck

It sounds to me like your ads got ghosted by CL. Your IP needs to be changed, your ad copy, and your email addresses.

I started my IM and CPA business with Craigslist. Since then, I stopped promoting on CL for the simple reason that it's become more of a headache than it's worth with the constant changes.

There are other, more profitable ways with less hassle.

There are still pockets of gold all over craigslist. It is a hassle, but if you can outsource smartly or dont mind putting in some grunt work, the results can be good, especially for noobs.

Always provide users of craigslist value and they will respond well to you selling them something. I havent been able to find a reliable posting service, but im sure there are some out there.
