how much do AM's make?

are they allowed to run campaigns of there own?

is it worth it to become a AM (besides of the inside info)?

I've worked as an affiliate manager and I can tell you it all depends on the arrangement you make. It can be very profitable as long as you are decent at negotiating.

Never been an AM myself but I suspect its mainly determined by which affilaite you get.

As for the inside info, yes they have a lot more conversion and traffic information about all the offers and can steal some of their affiliates campaigns for those that are displaying their traffic transparently if they want, but thats just not cool.

Probably mak more money in the long run by helping their affiliates reach the big numbers and taking commission.

Most of the time, affiliates will make money more than AM, so as long as you are a good affiliate, stick with that

I am not 100% sure, but I would also say that a good affiliate earns more
money than an AM. I just don#t understand why the hell these people stay
AM's if they can make so much more money as affiliates.

Or maybe they are also affiliates but also want to continue working as AM's
so they all the insiders and can do blackhat stuff without getting in trouble...

    Hmm, I don't know...

Some do affiliate on the side, perhaps most. The funny part is...and your gonna hate me for saying this...but most people dont do well in internet marketing because they dont take action. It takes a special kind of person to just plug away at taking action.

Affiliate managers may see somebodys whole campaign that makes $200 per day and just dont have the personality to go home, and replicate it. Undoubtedly hurdles will come up and they just dont have the personality to overcome them.

And then of course the larger the affiliates get, the better they cover their tracks so AMs cant just copy a 10k a day campaign like voila.

Of course this is all speculation...ive never been an AM and never will be

There are different personalities in this world. Many people are meant to work at a desk many people arent. Different strokes for different folks.

Yup, you are right Kenster. But do you really think that AM's can be that lazy?

I mean they see the whole campaign and can't kick themselves in the butt? I
mean that's just crazy, isn't it.

Besides, I just saw that it's your 1000 post man. Do something special for us

I dont think they are necessarily lazy, just its not for them. AMs can do plenty fine by themselves and many are comfortable with just that...again, just speculation

Haha I didnt even realize the post count. Let me think of something good. Gimme a few days...maybe a belated gift!!!!!!

If you're an affiliate manager and have experience driving affiliate traffic, you give yourself a competitive advantage over those AM's that are there to look pretty. Even if you don't make a lot of money with your personal affiliate marketing; going through the same steps and processes as your affiliates allows you to speak intelligently about the things affiliates care about on a day to day basis.

      They compliment each other.

AM's make anywhere from 35k- 80k/ yr... of course this is in general and across the board... being an affiliate manager for a network is essentially running your own business; the more time and smart effort you put in, the more money you make.
