My Ideal Scenario for 1 on 1 Coaching

Hello All

This is my 1st post to the forum and have been lurking around here for the past 6 months. I have actually learned quite a bit regarding affiliate marketing and CPA. When I say I have learned alot I mean that I now have some knowledge of the of the foundation that needs to be built to be succesful in this endeavor.

I have seen multiple threads and many differing opinions on Personal Coaching and wanted to share what my ideal scenario would be in this format.

1. I would liked to be trained and coached from an individual who has taught and trained others successfully in the past.

2. I would like to have my coaching sessions over the phone simply because I learn better from listening to someone rather than corresponding by email. (Obviously there will be communication via email or Instant messaging)

3. I would like to have myself and my coach come up with a product offer to promote and have a clear understanding of why we are choosing that particular offer.

4. I want to know and work the process with my coach to get that offer up and running.

5. I want my coach to teach me how he or she would go about promoting the offer in real time. ( the exact process) be it with PPC Media Buys, SEO, article marketing.

7. Basically I want to learn how they go about there business on a daily basis. I don not want them to give me the offers that they are running or the keywords they are using. I am not looking to hijack their campaigns but do want to know what they would do in any given situation. I want to work with that coach until we put to gether a few profitable campaigns.

This post is longer than I expected so I will end it here very shortly. I am very aware that this Scenario may not exist out there. I am simply sharing what I believe my ideal relationship with my coach would be.

In the end I realize that this is my business and need to make it my own but having someone there in the first few months to get it off the ground would be awesome. I also realize that what i want is also going to cost $$$ and it should.

I'm just looking for the right fit and quite frankly dont know if it exists.

Best of luck to all of you

How much per hour are you willing to pay?

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

I'm not really sure Fred. I'm sure that anyone who wanted to take on the coaching project would have an idea of what they wanted to charge. Ultimately I would have to weigh the cost vs what the coach would be willing to offer.

    Hello,
What are you going to say to your coach when he starts talking about all
of the things that he may have learned himself in the same books that you have read?
You really are not looking for a coach, you are looking for someone to tell you the
secret of making money with cpa.

With all due respect Lou, I'm not looking for someone to give me the secret to anything. Like I said in my post, My ideal scenario would be to be able to work with someone who is a success in CPA Marketing and work with them directly to get a few profitable campaigns going.

Maybe the word Coach is being overplayed here. I am looking to compensate the Right person for their time and knowledge to help me build a profitable business. If that does not exist than so be it.

You should take a look at BannerAdBlueprint Videos by Phillip Mansour as they are very informative and great information even for a beginner. they grasp a very cheap way of getting traffic to your CPA offers using Media Buys techniques.

I have watched them all. They are Great!

I hope you can afford it just to learn some of the basics before you get the coach to teach you more, and so that you know what the heck he is talking about.

/I hope you find the right coach!

          Thanks Mathias
I actually bought BannerAd Blueprint and thought it was ok. In fact I got more out of a video that Philip did that was not in the course about Media Buys.

I also bought Jordon Cosh's WSO Rogue Marketing which has a great deal of useful info on Media buys.

One thing I learned a few years back in a completely different field is that the best way to learn isnt necessarily by learning from the best. For one ( like in this situation) it may cost too much to learn by the best. We are talking 5-figure per day for consultation. But, also because there is a natural disconnect between both parties. Its like having that husein Bolt or whatever that crazy fast olympic runner is teaching a toddler how to walk. Just because Bolt is the best at running doesnt mean he can teach a toddler how to walk well. In fact, an 8 year would probably be a better teacher because they were in the toddlers position not too long ago and know the struggles, they can emphasize, and there is less of a disconnect.

What I am trying to get at is this...

When looking for a coach, the best one may be somebody who is earning $100 per day or maybe $300 per day. They will be cheaper and they understand where you will get stuck and how to explain things better because there is a connection.

Hope I made a little bit of sense....its been a long day hehe

Thanks for taking the time to respond Kenster. I understand the viewpoint.

I guess what I am looking for is the "Holy Grail" of Mentors LOL
which I am sure doesnt exist.

I realize that most marketers have had to learn the business by doing it themselves and filling in the gaps of the information that they received from others either through WSO's or other info products that they purchased.

I come from an industry that I do 1 call closes over the phone. I became very good at what I do because I was taught in real time by people who had done the exact same thing I was doing and they had a vested interest in my success. I.E. The more I sold the more they made

I just had the thought in my head that the same could apply here. I would be stoked to find someone who was successful at CPA marketing making say $300- $1500 a day and not only pay them to actively guide me through the process in real time but to also give them a % of my profits for a certain period all in an effort to cut down the learning curve.

Again these are just thoughts that I have had running through my noggin. I may be crazy to think this way but it has worked for me in the past and thought it could work here as well. Until then I will keep plugging away and taking positive steps moving forward

Very good. PM me and let me know your background more specifically. I'm spreading myself much too thinly as it is right now so I dont think I can commit to anything but I would love to give you advice. Once you give me yoru background I will at least try and direct you down a good path that will enable you to leverage your previous skills with CPA marketing.

Sooo much potential here and the industry is soo wide there is plenty of space for people of all kinds.

    Be well!

It is good to see that you are clear on what you want form coaching. Also, coaching is the best route to success especially with PPC.

I have availed of some fantastic coaching by William who is one of the most experienced marketers available on the forum. You can look up details of his coaching in the WSO section and if you get a chance you should go for it.

Kenster is also equally good. In fact there was a joint WSO by William and Kenster some time back - I think it has a waitlist in which you can enter your name. I can assure you that the coaching that I have mentioned is the best on the forum and will take you to $$$$ days :-).
