Question about posting articles?

When you submit articles to sites like go articles, do you need to re-write the article for each site?

Thank you!

Most directories will accept the articles even if they are duplicate content.

Don't worry about it. Change the title and first paragraph, put new keywords in them, and you'll attract even more visitors with the same article. I use this tactic a lot and I can tell you for sure that it works.

Here is the tactic I like to use.

For a premium site which I am trying to rank highly on, such as my own blog, EzineArticles, or a Squidoo lens as examples, I will use a unique article.

For sending out to the multitude of article directories I use another article. Which is going out for the purpose of backlinks usually to one of my blogs. This article may end up on 50 to 100 article directories, and also be used on a free blog, or a Web 2.0 site.

If you are going to link from the article directories to one of your other articles for ranking purposes, don't point to an identical article, it looks bad to your readers, and will send them running quickly.

For some offers I'm promoting all of the above articles point to a redirected domain name, but I will still use unique articles on the sites I am trying to rank highly on.

Better to rewrite a little bit. Stop dreaming about search engines to rank each and every article you write (one after the other). Never share your article on 100s of article marketing sites as its always useless. Only a few big ones could do the trick by redistribution and avoiding duplicate content.

      Hey kstevenmoney,

In my experience, I have found that the more 100% original content you are putting out there, the better you are going to rank and the more your readers will appreciate you. I have a few live blogs right now and what I usually do is have my article writer produce 100 articles (over the span of a month) and I have her send me 25 per week. The first 25 I usually use to post to my blog, just to get the ball rolling with on-site content. The next 25 articles I will submit to the top 10 major article directories (I have found that this is more than sufficient). Then with the remaining 50, I post one or two per week to my blog, and maybe one or two, every other week, to article directories.

After about a month, I usually start getting ranked for certain long-tail keyword phrases that are related to my site. This is the initial trickle of traffic and after that, if you do this month after month, you will see that over time, you will begin to rank for more relevant, higher search volume keyword phrases. Hope that helps though!

      Best of Luck,
