New to CPA and need help

So I recently just got accepted to maxbounty and I'm trying to figure out a way to promote the offers. The problem is that I don't have a website, so what I started doing was the old craigslist campaign. You know the one where you make an ad stating that you are selling an item for a low price, but you direct all of your replys to your offer. I am hardly making any any conversions with this method so what other methods do you guys suggest?

It's not a waste of post. It's a reminder. The threadstarter is discussing a b l a c k h a t technique which is prohibited in this forum (you won't even be able to spell it straight, if the system hasn't changed). The member you quoted reminded the threadstarter of the rule, least the threadstarter be banned if the same violation is repeated.

Well first you should consider getting a website for the niche you're involved in. Second, using craigslist is so played out and honestly will get you no where fast. There's a lot of ways you can monetize CPA offers and a lot of information in this section if you take the time to just go through some of it.

Maybe if people explained that to him rather then flaming him.
I agree its a waste of a post, if he knew what the new guy had done was wrong he should of prompted him by explaining it was a BH technique thats not allowed to be discussed.

Don't assume just because you know what BH is that the orignal poster does too

Well, maybe if the alleged "flamer" was reminded to be nice instead of calling his reminder "worthless" and his person "unwanted," everyone would come out better person, don't you agree? Etiquette, after all, works both ways.

It's true that the threadstarter might not know what he's doing is BH. But it can also be true that the threadstarter knows what he's doing is BH and he doesn't give a damn.

            Their assumption may be wrong.

But your assumption may also be wrong.

Start learning about article marketing, video marketing, seo, offline, etc. There are more than enough paths to take on your CPA journey.

Build a website, send traffic to it from LEGITIMATE SOURCES like Adwords, Yahoo or Bing.

Make sure you keep the merchant happy!

Great point Nick. At the end of the day, most of the people doing very well with CPA (in my experience) have been people who have good honest businesses and promote in good honest ways.

If you can find a way to make the merchant happy, the affiliate network happy, yourself happy, your partners happy, and everybody else involved with your business activity happy, you are good to go. Be good and honest to all parties involved in your business and cheat nobody...thats what most of the big fish are doing!

Do you think cpa networks and advertisers are honest ?

Just like in any business, there are going to be very honest people, very dishonest people and range of people in the middle. Advertisers and CPA networks are no different.

Unfortunately it is a bit 'easier' to be dishonest and make a quick buck when dealing online, so perhaps dishonestly is a bit more prevalent than in other business models but there are many many 100% honest Networks, Advertisers, Affiliates, Publishers, etc in this business.

I've been trying CPA methods both ethical and unethical for a few months now mate and my experience has been about the same.

I will share 1 thing I've learned and take this as you will:

In order to make good money on CPA you need to have an investment of at least $1000 to start running some campaigns.

    Stuart,

I dont know if I necessarily agree. Most of my initial campaigns were bootstrapped campaigns where I used raw time and heck of a lot of work, but it was mostly free bum stuff I was doing. Granted, a lot of the bum methods are a lot of work for the payoff at first, but they do work and as you get better, the commission checks get bigger.

If you are going straight into the paid advertising space, I would agree with you, but there are most than enuogh ways to promote CPA offers completely free. As you earn money boostrapping, you can re-invest to automate and outsource, but it certainly is possible to start with nothing and work your way up.

Best of luck on your journey. It sounds like its been a tumultuous one, but I'm sure things will come through in the end!

Some networks don't care if you have a website or not. Some do, from what I can remember max bounty is pretty much a case by case. Jus tbe honest when they call you about how you promote and I believe you should be okay. I'm not sure it's been a while since i got my account back when I was an affiliate.
