Life without IM

Hey guys!

I live outside the US and I just heared that Obama has the privilege of shutting down the Internet. That just made me think how would the world be like without the Internet, especially for us who make a living out of it. Do you think we will ever lose out great jobs as IMs? I personally think that this is pretty impossible because the Internet is so huge nowadays.
But what would you do if the Internet just disappeares tomorrow?
I know it's a stupid question but just think about it for one second.

    There is no life without IM lol. Honestly can't imagine making a living any other way.

    If the Internet disappeared for any length of time, a lot of us, all over the world, would be in a lot of trouble. Not just IMers. The Internet is much more than just the web. Banks, and a lot of things we depend on would be in BIG trouble.

    Luckily, the internet was DESIGNED to route around local attempts to shut it down. So even if Obama really wanted to do so, he could only destroy the US part of the net. And we'd put it right back up after his impeachment.
