My story (and an introduction)

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone. I hope to be able to contribute to this forum, esp. this section.

I vast majority of CPA marketers are out aren't active. I'm not saying they dont occasionally pop by, but many like to earn big by keeping a low profile.


There are benefits to keeping a low profile and benefits to being more public. There are downsides to both as well. :p

So, I did say I was going to post here about Flash CPA. So here I am. It's a nice little intro to Cost Per Action marketing. It's cool but I haven't been devoting my time, energy and resources to it recently and am not right now because I'm planning on moving soon and I need to save up as much money as possible as quickly as possible. The problem is that CPA Networks can take over a month to pay you after you earn the money. That wasn't for me, so I put it away for a metaphorical rainy day.

I agree with what you said about finding your own methods and figuring things out on your own, but I think that a lot of what the people who sell the ebooks about making money online tell you can be adapted to suit your needs and can open up a lot of doors for people who've never heard of affiliate marketing and such, whether the particular method described is right for them or not. The internet is always changing, so if you're going to approach this like a business, it's a good investment to spend a portion of your profits on new information and software. It's definitely healthy to think outside the box.

We all know internet marketing is full of scams and promises and stuff like that. But information is information, sometimes it's good to read an ebook that's within your budget and get some new ideas. Lots of people will say that all those ebooks are scams and stuff, but they're probably happy enough doing what they're doing that to them it's not worth it to lose a little bit of their money on a 15% chance that a "make money online" product might actually contain some worthwhile information despite the fact that its sales pitch has been dumbed down to resonate with the lowest common denominator.

I find it funny that so many of us who've picked up this little hobby end up making money online by selling ebooks on how to make money online to people who want to learn more about making money online. It's like in the gold rush. We've all heard the story of Levi, founder of Levi's jeans in the gold rush. Some miners were making a huge ton of money finding gold, most weren't. Another group of people made a lot of money selling blue jeans and mining equipment to the miners. I'm not so cynical that I think that's the only way to do it, and certainly not the best way. If you tell people you're doing that, most will think you're a scam artist. It can work though, that was how I made my first money online. I was following the first system I bought and I got a little creative, mixed in some of my own ideas, and presto, $150 in a month for selling other people the same damn system. Lol.
