Hi warriors

Registering my first domain with godaddy, which is simply gonna be used to have polls which go along with email/zip offers.

I would like your advice on what web hosting I should select between Web Hosting Economy and Web Hosting Deluxe. Deluxe obviously offers more value for money, but I would like to know if Economy would be great iswell.

I'm assuming space is how much I'm able to upload to my site and transfer is used up by the traffic throughout the month.

Thanks
Jack

It seems that you understand what disk space and bandwidth are. So you need to consider how many sites you intend to have and how much traffic you will probably drive to them.

Also, if you intend to create polls using Wordpress with a plugin you need to make sure that your account supports PHP and MySQL databases (one for each site).

This may or may not help but here goes... I never purchased hosting!
Instead what I did was pick up a cheap .info domain from NAME.com and used a masked redirect to my CPA offer which is currently having traffic driven to it via Article Marketing.

Of course I would have to buy hosting when I want to set up squeeze pages

I would go with Bluehost. I've used theme and it's really good hosting. I have some sites on Dreamhost VPS and I've had no end of problems.

I wouldn't recommend you using GoDaddy as your web host, I've used them to host some of my websites before, GoDaddy will slow down your website, so you will need to optimize the speed harder than with any other web host.

Also, Godaddy seems to have less security than other top web hosts such as HostGator, Personally I had lots of security troubles with them, my websites were always getting hacked. Now, I won't lie to you, you can face security problems with any web host, but certainly I've been getting more issues with Godaddy compared to Bluehost or Hostgator.

If I were you I would go with HostGator or Bluehost, they will save you lots of money considering they will allow you to host multiple websites in just one account, obviously if you don't use too much bandwidth and space, if you use too much server resources you may have to upgrade to a reseller account or a VPS or a dedicated server.

Hope this helps! Once again, if I were you I would avoid Godaddy as a web host, they are a good registar though.

    Regards,

    gamboo,

I think it would be a wise move to always have your sites registered with one and hosted by another. If you have your domains registered with GoDaddy, I would recommend you select HostGator for your hosting company. The greatest advantage of doing things this way is to avoid having your sites shut down in one failed swoop! If, for some reason you have a dispute about a charge and don't pay, GoDaddy can shut you down. If you violate (or THEY THINK you've violated) any of their hosting TOS policies, they may lock you out completely. You may not get access to your domain to even move it to another hosting company. You may find yourself being held hostage if things don't go their way when you register your domain AND use the same company for hosting.

Read the fine print. Some registrars claim ownership of your domain, too. So, "buyer beware"!

In addition, I've read that GoDaddy's server response time is fairly slow. HostGator doesn't appear to have that problem. I'm not familiar with any other hosting companies but I've heard that there are other good ones you can do business with -- do your research.
