Need Help With Prosper202

Hi Guys,

So, I set up the Prosper202 as per instructions given, and when I clicked on "Generate Tracking Link", this is what came up,

Make sure you test out all the links to make sure they work yourself before running them live.
Unknown column 'user_tracking_domain' in 'field list'

SELECT `user_tracking_domain` FROM `202_users_pref` WHERE `user_id`='1'

Does anyone know what is that supposed to mean? Thanks in advance.

What's your hosting company? People have been facing many similar problems trying to use P202 with Hostgator.

My hosting company is Hostgator. So there problem is in the hosting company, yeah? So basically I can't use p202 as long as I'm still with Hostgator?

With hostgator you need to ask support to remove the mod_security restriction..

Hmmm, the support guy says it's because I'm using shared server or something like that. So the only way around it is to have dedicated server or something like that. I believe it's called VPS

I tried to explain in another thread that the mod_security fix won't work on a shared Hostgator account but got flamed so gave up.

The shared hosting doesn't support mySQL partitions, that's the problem. I have a fixed script (V 1.5) that you are welcome to, I run it on a shared Hostgator account with no problem. I found it buried in the Prosper 202 forum, posted by the original creators of 202 so I have no concerns that it has any backdoors in it. PM me if you are interested.

I also heard that V1.6 fixes the problem but as it's still in Beta I haven't tried it yet.

  I've never heard of anyone having a problem running it on BlueHost, only HostGator has those problems.

  Your going to have some issues running P202 on Hostgator shared. Try the latest release Prosper202 1.6 Beta Download and Release Documentation
  
  Something to think about though; Running on a shared server can actually hurt your conversions quite a bit...load speed makes a huge difference. If you can afford a VPS it's definitely worth it.

Hi, just a simple question, I heard that Prosper 202 only accept VPS/ dedicated server only for Hostgator? What about Bluehost?
