Has anyone tried using Facebook Ads for driving traffic to a squeeze page? Are you allowed to do this?

Absolutely! I actually think it gets you approved quicker than direct-linking.

As long as your offer abides by the rules and follows through with what it says it will do, they don't have a problem.

Well, the reason why I was thinking about this. Is because I'm having a hard time getting approved. We all know how crazy is to get approved, and how the same ad that was approved earlier, doesn't get approved when you resubmit it.

So I'm thinking of building a squeeze page instead, building a list and sending them the offers I want to market them.

    I'm doing this right now.

I'm not a FB expert, but I think that most guys killing it with FB are actually using opt-in pages and promoting offers with follow up series.

I Saw This Part in the Ads Guidelines:
Ads cannot require viewers to click on the ad to submit Personally Identifiable Information (such as name, date of birth, phone numbers, social security number, physical addresses, or email addresses) on the landing page or in the ad, except to enable an ecommerce transaction and where the ad and landing page clearly indicate that a product is being sold.
And I thought they might have a problem with it.

So, are you having problems with getting your ads approved for this? Do you have to resubmit a lot, or they usually get approved right away.

        I saw that too.

But my landers pass without problems. Just make sure that you don't offer a downloadable file, like a report or video. Just offer an autoresponder series and you'll be ok.

I've personally found that I get approved faster when I am giving away a Free Report. I've never been declined when I offer a Free Download like an ebook or report. I started creating mini reports and buying PLR ebooks for the sole purpose of building a list through Facebook. I'd advise using the PPV and not PPC, when giving a Free Download, it seems to work better in my opinion. I am using Facebook Ads which go to single landing pages, that don't even look like a website and don't have any other links than the Name and Email opt-in boxes, so I know simple landing pages are working fine. The only time I was ever declined with an Ad is when I was sending leads directly to an affiliate landing page.

The only thing I really haven't mastered is a good bidding strategy. I need to find a way to get my CPM lower than what I am paying out. Facebook Ads can clean your bank account out if you are not careful.

            Good to know!

I thought that Facebook was going against anything that's downloadable in order to protect their users from spywares and other unwanted softwares, but it's good to know that there are exceptions.

About bidding, what I'm doing now is to start with pretty low bids and then raise them gradually until I start getting impressions. However, sometimes I need to bid a bit higher to get more volume and make tests faster (if you don't have patience you lose money ). I'm using CPC now, but I see that as soon as I improve my CTR I'll be able to use CPM to get clicks for 20c - 25c, which would be great.

I'm promoting dating offers on FB and my biggest problem are the images. It's hard to find images that perform well and pass through FB's approval process. So I'm starting to use text (yes, images with text ) and a few other tricks to see if I find a way to get a high CTR without going against their guidelines. It's a bit time consuming, but can be done.

Could you share your experience with dating ads. That's what I'm working on mostly. I've had a couple of ads approved and I've had some great volume and profits with them. However, I found it hard getting more ads approved. I mean, I even made the most conservative ads, with conservatives images, dating ads were very hard to get approved. I even resubmitted the same ads that were approved, and they got disapproved. Really inconsistent approval process.

Are you doing facebook dating ads + squeeze page? Would that be easier to get approved to?

Well, I don't know the reason why your ads were rejected and I'm not a FB expert (there are guys on this forum that would be able to give better advice). However, if you are not using "provocative" images (they say that they don't allow images with too much "skin" ) or text, I think that your problem is your lander.

My landing pages are simple opt-in pages and they are passing without problems. Just a headline, an image, some content and an opt-in box.

Also, check their guidelines to see if you're not committing a small mistake, such as starting every word with capital letters (it's not allowed even in the title), replacing words with symbols (e.g. at with @, money with $, for with 4, etc) or simply not using punctuation properly (e.g. use space after ".", "?" or "!", but before, etc).
