This thread is not another "Facebook reviewers are super bitchy in approving ads" thread. I just want to write down the problem most people encounter when using FB then come up with a solution or something
by the way, English is not my 1st language so please excuse me of you see any problems in my post
This is from my own experience: I just came back to FB like 1 month, and after throw in crap loads of money, my niche is dating and I have something for you guys:
FB is still very bitchy in approving ads(and they will be like that, so deal with it), now they don't just review your new ads, they also sometimes review your old ads too. I don't know if you guys see this or not, but I have an ad doing ok, when I submit another ad using that same ad copy, just change a little bit, they disapproved BOTH of them, and I ended up losing a good ad, and hell, I don't even know if I can get them to approve the same ad again
CTR sucks big time. After some years being bombarded with tons of dating ads like Singlesnet, Zoosk, many FB users are now kinda immune to dating ad. Direct linking never work for me. Recently I only see plenty of fish there, it must be the owner of POF use it to advertise for his site, but his account maybe white listed so its another story. Now I see very little dating ads, most of ads right now are games and other things. I still remember a time dating ads dominated the adboard, now people don't bother anymore, and they kinda shift to POF despite the fact that it has less traffic, but still a profitable source
One thing about Zoosk: dunno if anyone still run it, but just like Singlesnet, one of my AM told me that Singlesnet conversion rate is only 2% now, so it doesnt worth the hassle, so far, none of Zoosk ad can get through their system, and I'm talking about US, it will be...harder for other countries. A WF member mentioned in another thread that FB doesnt get any Zoosk ads right now,I also heard about it, but not sure, maybe that's why I never see any Zoosk ads recently
oh, and emailing them wont help either. I asked them why they disapproved the ads that they approved me earlier, the only answer I get is:sorry, the language of your ads is unacceptable(in other words: your ads still suck,bro, try again next time, maybe we will be more lenient). Even with ads like "Meet nice girls"(see, nothing irrelevant or unacceptable here), they still don't want to approve it.
Basically, dating is all about writing good ads to attract horny guys, but they don't like ads like that. They only take in the ones which go with the guideline, but those ads CTR sucks since they are overused for a long time
For targeting: even though I ALWAYS specify that I target male, single, age 18+, but they still disapproved my ads because my targeting is not good enough(WTF)
Beside dating, I tried other stuffs, the approving rate is higher, but CTR is not good at all
Before I end it here, I'm browsing the adboard right now and only see POF ad there, the rest is game and some free stuffs
Maybe that is the trend right now? By the way I'm 24, so what I see in the adboard maynot be what the 18s see, so I want to gather some info from you guys too, and come up with some kind of solution for this
