WARNING: Unethical Practices at ZEDO

Good morning warriors,

Just want to warn you about doing business with Zedo. Media buys are a great way to drive traffic and revenue to your affiliate funnels. I recently did a small buy with Zedo as a test and in my IO had a 24 hour out clause. The buy did not work out and I exercised my 24 hour out and requested the remaining monies to be returned. Zedo proceeded to tell me that they have an "internal policy" not to return any funds. Anyone who has done a media buy understands the value of an outclause and also understands that within the industry that once an out has been exercised remaining funds are returned to the individual who did the buy. Nowhere on Zedo's site or in its IO contract did it state that funds were non-refundable. I am now suing Zedo but be WARNED if you plan on doing business with them you will not get your money back so be careful.

This is interesting. I have dealt with pubs like this. They will honour your 24 hr out clause for that buy but will not refund you the money. You can however use it to try different campaigns etc.

This was made known to me upfront and if zedo can't provide proof that their "internal policy" was made known to you, your lawsuit should be successful. Good luck!

Yep. Me too. Plus the traffic is horrible. I can make ten times as much with the same exact ad through another media buy pub.

If it's in your IO, they don't really have a leg to stand on correct? my guess is their comment about their internal policy to push you away thinking you wont spend the time or money to pursue legal action but i hope you do whats needed to get recouped...a contract is a contract, no internal policy supercedes a contractual agreement.

    Best of luck.
