Can I write articles and get started?

OK.

I'm finding my brains on the floor and find myself answering my wife's questions, "how much gas did you put in the my car last night?" with, "a few gallons. I'll have to check the cpc...wait, what?" because I'm so tired from staying up late reading all the great info on here.

I've stopped to use the bathroom twice (I'm not saying I didn't go more, just that I made it to the bathroom twi...ah never mind. TMI) and have added a potential 16 more pounds when all my donuts and snacks catch up with me while I've been reading all the threads and tabs I've saved and what not.

So....

With everything I've read, I just want to be clear on a few things.

1) Can I write some articles and directly link to an offer? Would I do so by taking my affiliate link and hyperlinking it through some words (maybe keywords) in the resource box?

Would I need anything else but some talent (no jokes please...I could be for all you know) and getting the articles posted?

Do I open up a "pen name" author for some of these articles on the same account (on Ezinearticles.com for example) that I have for my real name so the "experiment" isn't directly related to me?

Do I have this right: I write some articles (for that matter, with "long-tail keywords and few search results in google with quotes" kind of thing right?) and put two links (depending on the article directory) in the resource section that send them off to my affiliate link.

That about it?

And how do I test that the links and codes are right without clicking on them myself (don't want fraud) or do I just trust it?

2) ...okay, okay. This might be more than a few if you count the above 72 questions I seem to have snuck in there.

Two, it seems Google doesn't allow PPC to your affiliate link directly. I believe I knew this and it's been around for a while, but then what?

Do most PPC folks link to their own blog/site to capture a lead and then send them off to the races?

Is there another way to do direct linking with adwords? On Yahoo or Bing or something?

End of long-winded post begging for your time and help.

Again, I see a lot of other girls and guys like me on here, and most get responses so on behalf of us all, thank you for your patience and time.

Now, what can I do for you?

Depends on the Article Directory... eg:
    EzineArticles.com Editorial Guidelines: (AFFILIATE PROGRAMS):

Affiliate links will be allowed if the link is a domain name you own which forward/redirects to the affiliate link from the top-level of the domain name...

Any article with an affiliate link that does not adhere to this guideline will cause the article to be rejected.

    So then two more questions.

If I understand this correctly, I can go buy a cheap domain name and redirect it to my affiliate link, and put MY domain name in the resource box?

On another note - Can CPA's just be linked to in a facebook update? Can it be that simple?

Do people just update date and say something like, "I saw this (link) and blah, blah, blah..."?

    Or is that frowned upon?

I ask because I am itching to start experimenting. I am going to try some offline methods this weekend. I've been brainstorming target markets all day long.

Very cool to see what kind of work I can put in.

You can buy an .info domain or you can even use a blogger page. You may want to try to create your own landing page too.

Of course you can add cpa link on your profile wall, just don't spam the links

    Many people do it.
