Why are my clicks not showing on the CPA network???

I'll keep this brief and would appreciate your responses..

I am new to affiliate marketing, but have spent days and days researching before diving in.

I've have signed up with a couple of CPA networks, have a few Ad network accounts, i'm using Tracking202 and split testing using 2 text ads and a banner ad for the same offer and sub ids through Tracking202.

I am promoting what I was told is a hot offer, so put $50 into it using InMobi.

Inmobi - 600 clicks
Tracking202 - 500 clicks
CPA Network - 32 clicks

Conversions - 2.

I'm happy with the 6.25% conversion rate, but I paid for 600 clicks and would have expected 37.5 conversions.

I emailed my affiliate manager, and 3 days on have not had a response. I've asked them to explain the discrepancy. This happened to me before when I was not using Tracking202 so had no visiblity of the issue, but as InMobi and Tracking202's clicks agree to an extent, I am left wondering why the affiliate network did not regsiter the clicks.

I'm using direct linking (to the networks LP) and I've checked my targetting, that I'm respecting the offer restrictions and my urls to Tracking202 and then the offer. I'm quite sure its not something I have done, I've triple checked everything. If it is me, it would be easy to fix!

Something I did notice is that the redirect url in Tracking202's stats show a different LP, for a different offer. This is the best reason I have that my conversion rate was soo low, and leads me to believe the affiliate network is screwey. I'd rather not say who they are at this moment, but judging from their website compared to the likes of CJ or Sponsormob, it looks a bit shoddy.

Any advice on these two issues and what i can / should do? I am keen to try another offer on another network. I dont think the issue is Inmobi, I had the same issue with Admob and the same affiliate network.

Thanks

Shawn

Can someone advise whether this has happened to them?

I am going to chase up my ticket with the affiliate network. If they cannot give me a satisfactory offer, I am going to promote other network's offers, but am interested to know if this is commonplace or if something is up. Do your ad network, tracking software and affiilate network click stats usually tie up?

I always have variances between the clicks noted on my tracking program and on the CPA network, but nothing even close to that extent.

If it was the ad network then you would think the tracking program would not pick up that many clicks

I don't know much about mobile advertising or mobile CPA, but was the offer mobile compliant? I've heard of people having trouble with offers being mobile compliant or compliant with mobile ad networks.

        Thanks for the reply Craig.

I checked that the offer was compliant and it is a mobile only offer. My initial thought was that my clicks had been discredited for this reason, but not so.

The text ad click through is a tracking software url, it then redirects to the actual splash page. So all clicks should go through Tracker202 before it goes to the af network.

I also made sure my affID was in the url that redirects the user to the offer page so they would know it was me that drove that click.

I am suspecting that the offer landing page being from a totally different offer to the one I advertised is the cause of my issues. Anyone experienced this?

Maybe some problem with geo-target? For example, your offer accepts only traffic from US and you most of your clicks came from other countries and got redirected? Is this a possibility?

William brought up a good point. It's always important to target the countries accepted by the offer in the ad platform you are using (if possible).

Some of our affiliates come to me with this issue - and most of the time it's a targeting error. Like the others have said - getting clicks from the wrong country won't show up in your network stats. They'll likely be redirected to a new offer.

If it's been three days and they haven't even attempted to help - I would send them another email in case they didn't get it - or just move on to another network that's ready and willing to answer your questions.
